I started drawing a peaceful forest background... but I gotr bored with it so I asked my brother for a random fantasy monster, he said a giant ant, i asked what colour, he said fuscha outlined in light blue with black eyes. I said ok, and then this happened. We decided to call him.... BOB!!!

This is prooving to be a more complicated picture than I first thought it would be. Unfortunatly my Step-Father wants me off the computer now, so I will have to complete this another time.

I don't want to come off rude, but^^;....shouldn't you rather draw something, at least a bg of some sort? This is only writing so far and it's unfinished so I dunno what you're going to do with it, but hopefully it's going to include some type of drawing....somewhere...
Nightmare66641 (Jun 17, 2004)
yes it will, and the writting is the background. At this point I'm still waiting for the lightning to strike so that I can have an idea. Lightning... that's not a bad thought...maybe, yeah... damn mouse...
Yes, it will include drawing, and I promise that I will revise it as soon as I can log in somewhere that I can at least use a decent mouse.
And don't worry about sounding rude, I appreciate your advice and questions. Thank you.

well I think that it is obviouse what this beast is now; But for those of you still wondering, it is the Kelpie, of a scotish legand. The kelpie would lure weary travelers ontop it's back believeing that it was a simple horse, then oncee the ridder was mounted, it would charge into the depths of the lake it inhabited dragging the ridder to the bottom and drowning them.

A wise man once said, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but a smarter D&D player said, make sure the eye isn't on you.
Yes, I just got the D&D monster manual version 3.5 and I wanted to try drawing one of the monsters. So I opened the book to a random page and came up with page 26, the beholder.

Anything for a fellow artist. I am sorry, I was unaware that I had used the same title.

errrrrr.... Nice convo going on... Anyhoo, not bad!!! I can recognize it... What you should do is make the outlines more defined... that is your main problem here... Also, learn to do a better job shading... Interesting piece, though!
Nightmare66641 (Jun 17, 2004)
Thank you for the advice. I will have to work on my shading, as well as my outlines.

I tried to do an image of the nightmare, be it the one from Magic: The Gathering, or the monster from Dungeons & Dragons. Unfortunatly my mother's computer is a pain for drawing with. My hand started to hurt after a while so I majorly slacked off. Drawn with a mouse here on the beginner boards because my tablet is at my father's house.

Haha :)!I love Nightmare. The awesome black horse with a flaming mane and flaming hooves XD.This looks nice, but didn't Nightmare have a orangeish and redish region near the nose?Either way, great job :).
Nightmare66641 (Jun 13, 2004)
yes it did. I tried to draw it but I couldn't with a mouse. My next one of the nightmare will be far better.
"the nightmare arises from its lair in the swamp. As the poisoned land spreads, so does the nightmares power and terrafying rage."

She is my lady and I love her. The nightmare is the only one to whome I bow. She is Caliphere (read Magic:The gathering issue #1 NIGHTMARE: The Vanishing Lands) The nightmare is the one who brings to you your dreams and nightmares. When you wake up in the night and stare into the darkness, The Nightmare is the one who is staring back.
