This is nice......I love old boats.....there's something kinda cool about them. I think I would try to plug up the leak, and take her out in the water, and do a little fishin'...."lol"!! Nice one!! Definitely qualifies for "National ship month"!!!! :)

I found submarines with the same shape as v2 but had changed the mast before I found it, I don't know which shape is better, any opinions?

how did you do the top portion of this? I really like that part.

That's my favorite part, too, Lori! If we could 'crop' our draws, I would have cropped this one.
It's very hard to explain. I did a sort of tutorial on it one time. I started this draw using only 3 colors, Red, blue and white. I was going to do a Memorial Day tribute type of draw. Then, after playin with those 3 colors awhile in different shape lines and directions, then I used the difference tool, still using the 3 colors. Then, I lessen the opacity and click on Blend w/the difference tool and that starts making more and more lines of different colors. I kind of play around like this until I begin to like the 'paint brush full of paint that I've created on the palette.
Then I start to draw what I want to draw. I click OFF the blend and change the opacity to create different effects. But it takes awhile to really start to see what you said you liked in the top part. You just have to be willing to keep at it until something desirable starts to appear....

He has delivered two major speeches, in the last year or so, at West Point...the "I am giving the ok to deploy more troops to Afganistan" speech, and last weekend he spoke to the graduating class of soldiers , in part, about the "success in Iraq and putting them in harms way." So, why was it inconvenient to place the wreath at Arlington? An hour plane ride is all it would have taken. A small blip on the way to the Gulf. Completely blows.

Because the country is not important to him...I didn't vote for him and I agree about knowing we were in deep doo doo when he got eleted. Bush was so wrong that Obama brought the troops straight home..oh..wait..he didn't did he.

I think this is my favourite of all your portraits so far. I just love the expression. You've done beautiful work here. I've said it before and I'll say it again...what is it about The Netherlands that produces so many wonderful artists?
