This is, of course, great, but I actually liked the potty training one better. Who says artists can't have a sense of humor?

Dragon Breath Mints -- check. Romantic atmosphere -- present. Shiny jewelry -- ready. Mr. Toad is all ready to be kissed. Bashful and cute maidens, form a line to the left of the sign. Who wants to go first?

haha, thanks Clox. I'll see about Xod.

I was thinking maybe porn sites have good models but I got kinda scared about having my family come in and thinking I was some kind of weirdo. Im trying to find a simple model without any sexual gestures. So natually, porn is out of the question. Arrrgh, I have a feeling this is gonna take me ages.
Kloxboy (May 30, 2004)
This might help, or maybe not

I used these books to better my antomy skills as well better myself as an artist:
The Human Machine by George Briggman - a good book to learn the mechanics of anatomy
Dynamic Anatomy by Burne Hogarth - great book and Hogarth is one of the best
50 Secrets of Magic Craftmanship by Salvador Dali - aside from sounding kinda insane at times, it's a great book
Gray's Anatomy - this book is best for learning terms
Anatomy for the Artist by Jeno Barcsay - this has great drawings in it and another good term book
There are a few others I own but those I listed helped me most.
Of course, don't take my word for it. <some of you are old enough to get that joke, I hope, that line is right up there with "...and knowing is half the battle"
Kasha (May 30, 2004)
ohh yay! thanks Clox.
Fin_beast (edited Aug 20, 2004)
Kasha... you are a fucking lamer... :P This rox0rz.
The really soft lines and then the really dark ones really make it work.
Is there a reference or is that from your head? It better not be from your head. :B
I wish I had the style you have. *sigh* *stalks kasha*

cool! I love all the designs!
Shmoopy (May 28, 2004)
Hmm... This would be a really cool poster. I'd buy one. Especially a black-lite poster. =3 Or, it looks like some mildly-Japanese art, with the swirls and stuff... Mulan, the Disney movie, had all of those swirly clouds and stuff. This reminds me of that.
PolythenePam (May 28, 2004)
Well it's a picture of a dream I had. There was like, this huuuuge dead desert and in the middle there was a circle of huge mountains so high that you couldn't see over them, and contained within the mountains was a lush green forest, really dark and tropical and absolutely packed with birds. The ground was completely covered in thick soft grass...But the weird thing was this city, which consisted of towering skyscrapers and office blocks and apartment buildings and all but it was completely abandonned. Everything was shiny and new, and all the offices were filled with paper and computers...Everything was completely normal, just no people, except for me. It was like the city had been in some kind of time freeze but all the grass and trees were right up against the walls, so, you couldn't see any streets or anything. I just loved this dream so much...I'm gonna have a go at drawing it again, and different parts of it.
mooseflower (May 28, 2004)
cool, you can remember your dreams... I wish I could... 'tis a very cool piccy too.
