this is really good. it's a good use of blurry and sharp areas. it actually reminds me of a wooden doll - pinocchio perhaps
Pseudonymous (May 22, 2006)
I know what you mean, Lisa and thank you. Thank you so much, Dave. :)
Awwww, thanks Cindy! :D I know what you mean...even PICTUREs of children bring out that maternal nature in us.
Thanks froot - that wooden look actually came because I was on the phone and not really paying attention to what I was drawing. I kind of just wanted to get rid of this from my studio, but I'm actually pretty happy with how it came out.
Miss_DJ (May 23, 2006)
this makes me so sad...it's perfectly conveyed sadness.

I've been wanting to try one of these, maybe you should do a short tutorial on Wiki to help out those less familiar. Always a pleasure to see your art Roy.

Yeah! Haha...I'm a huge sharpie fan, and so is one of my favorite artists. Can't wait to see it done.
If you want check him out: Tom Sachs. He actually made his own replica of a sharpie, and you can buy the Tom Sachs edition. Its pretty awesome.
Anyway the colors look just about perfect.

and for the sharpie:

Great job on this... I like the perspective and the highlights, and yes, lettering is a huge pain but you did just fine.

I love patterns like this. There's a face in the pattern, like her words have formed a person.
Gemmy619 (May 17, 2006)
The detail in the patterns is excellent, i really like it.
SYTHE (edited May 18, 2006)
Apparently, the spoken word was pasiley. Very retro and cool.

Rawr! Awesome. Makes me feel overwhelmed for some reason.
How could all that detail take only 3 hours to do?

LOL! Love the heart at the end.
