Studying skeletal structure with 'Anatomy for the Artist' by Barcsay. The pose is not inside the book: I'm just using it to try to set up a proper skeletal structure by using multiple pictures from that book as reference. I had a particularly hard time with the forearm and pelvis because I couldn't find a drawing in the book that had the angles I needed to understand the particular forms in 3d space, so I also looked through some references on the internet a bit and felt my own forearm to try to get an idea of how those bones curve around each other. I'm still not quite sure about those areas. It'd be nice if I could figure out how to simplify them somehow. |

Playing around with transparency. I guess its loosely based on a strange fascination i have with cigarette smoke and the way it creates a wavey stringey texture before disappearing into the air.

I like this. Although the colors, and method in which this would painted would probably bring about somber feelings, this makes me quite happy. I think that the convexed rectangle in the white mass is what does it. Its simple, yet pleasing to my eye, and that's what I really enjoy. Nice work. |

lol just typed 'Rez Orgasm Game' into google. Damn there goes all my credibility. Yeah, I think Rez is pretty funky. The Tron-like graphical style and whole idea of tying music, gameplay and visuals together is coolio.

refIt occured to me I haven't drawn any men on 2draw... which is funny, 'cause when I'm traditional drawing, I usually do about even numbers of both men and women. Sooo... yeah. I sorta wish lascaux had a flip tool like shi-painter does, 'cause whenever I use shi, I always flip the picture around to see what's wrong with it, but in lascaux.... you can't. I tried holding a mirror up to the screen, but it really doesn't work.

I love the halftone patterns that are emerging in these latter versions! I think they give the painting a more natural look (which is kind of odd since I generally think halftones are very artificial looking, but here it looks very natural to me).

can't help you on anything x.x wish i could, but i'm kinda.. learning off you :3
The proportions are probably a bit off in this one, but I wasn't concerned about proportions - I just wanted to get the basic idea of the shapes of the bones at the angles provided. Also the bones look a bit thin to me for the amount of flesh I put around them. That's probably something I'm going to have to develop intuitively.
I'm very impressed.
