Boat tied to the dockStuck with the woodgrain. I can't get it right
davincipoppalag (Oct 11, 2006)
My kinda pic! If you're talking about the woodgrain on the piling I think it looks fine. Make some darker shadows and darker grain lines. I like the reflection, too, though I think the boat edge in that may be a bit too wide in the reflected part. I like this
Miss_DJ (Oct 14, 2006)
nice job Kute. I wanna see you do another one!!
STARZSHINE (Feb 11, 2008)
very nice, love the watercolor feel to this one! |

Shortiebop (Oct 11, 2006)
BEAUTIFUL :)
KuteDymples (Oct 12, 2006)
Thanks shortie, i was dissapointed the way it turned out actually. I just wanted to finish it to have it over.
Sweetcell (Oct 12, 2006)
You have lots of space so you can go back when you want. It's a lovely little piece. She looks like she's enjoying the dance. Very soft ruffles in her skirt.
Miss_DJ (Oct 13, 2006)
elegant and lovely! |

always loved these thingsI tried using a mouse to revise this and am totally not used to it. I will just wait until I return home from vacation.
I sure am out of practice. Just something to get me back in the swing of things.
davincipoppalag (Oct 11, 2006)

making a horse
davincipoppalag (Sep 22, 2006)
Hey...nice one... I like the way you made the eye the focus
KuteDymples (Sep 22, 2006)
I love eyes and I thought the horse that I used for reference had beautiful browns!
Sweetcell (Sep 26, 2006)
Nicely done, nice way of adding the reflective light in his mane. |

My weird side
KuteDymples (Sep 14, 2006)
I knew that is why I liked you Elly...YOU ARE WERID TOO! But thanks.
Sweetcell (Sep 14, 2006)
Very wierd and cute. I like weird and cute. To make it truly alien you should remove the nose.
davincipoppalag (Sep 14, 2006)
Now this looks like a mask for your cat
KuteDymples (Sep 14, 2006)
If I had a cat, I would have to wear a mask. I am so allergic to them. I was going to remove the nose, but it isn't worth asking for more space on this one. LOL Just a doodle actually, Thanks for all the comments guys! |

Abstract
KuteDymples (Sep 14, 2006)
Ha Ha Ha! Glad you like it Dave. I thought it was kinda funny, but I did like the colors.
davincipoppalag (Sep 14, 2006)
hehe.. yep!
Sweetcell (Sep 14, 2006)
This looks like a fable or story being told by an old Eskimo to some younsters and this is how they would see it. Oh, Dave beat me. Be interesting to see you do some comic panels in this style with a full story. Ok my imagination won't shut off.
DinoFlorist (Sep 17, 2006)
I think this is great! Abstract to me, connotates crappy splatter paint. I like this becasue you can tell it means something. |

One of my Childhood favorites
Sweetcell (Sep 13, 2006)
I had one of those growing up (but I can't remember if it was Anne or Andy) And I still have a childrens book from the 80's. Thanks for the memories Kute. :)
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Sep 13, 2006)
Raggedy Ann! :) I loved the book, and my Raggedy Ann doll was one of my favorites, although I put her through way more hell than Marcella did in the stories...my Alaskan Simoan dog Snow White ripped my Raggedy Ann's head off in the end. I think we should start calling Marcello "Marcella"... it's much closer to home. :DI'm glad you did this picture, it brought back lots of funny memories, and you did such a cute job in depicting them.
KuteDymples (Sep 14, 2006)
Thanks everyone for the great comments on these, I guess they are just "Old Favorites" of a lot of people. Actually I do paint a lot of childrens characters for pay but on canvas I do much better than on the net. I am really not half as good as I would like to be. I have painted so many Winnie the Pooh pictures I have grown not to like "The Pooh" much. LOL My favorite childrens characters to paint is Disney, Mickey and Minnie. I just love them and could never paint them enough.
STARZSHINE (Feb 11, 2008)

Just another attempt at realism
emmamommalag (Sep 13, 2006)
They look good enough to eat! My little granddaughters picked most of my tomatoes and threw them all over the back yard last weekend. Grrrrr..
Sweetcell (Sep 14, 2006)
Pick one, make a sauce.
KuteDymples (Sep 14, 2006)
I like 'em just sliced with salt and peppa! My mouth is watering as I type. Actually my favorite tomatoe are the "green fried" ones. Yummy!
STARZSHINE (Feb 11, 2008)
very nice, and I love these little guys, so sweet, mmmm makes me want summer to get here in a hurry |
