very, very good job Ruggi! I love drawing little people. I haven't done so here, only on www.youdraw.com my name there is Missdj also. If you ever get bored, check out my gallery. It's nice, I guess, but many on that site are incredible!!
Ruggi (Oct 11, 2005)
Nice site there, Miss Dj... looks like your draws are even more diverse than mine!
Krissebaby (Apr 29, 2007)
Now where have I seen this before? :P Excellent...
Ruggi (Apr 30, 2007)
Don't know... in the Prado museum maybe? ;o)

Had to try how the layers work, so I did this one... much like one that I have done before. And still in denial...

Thanx!!! :o)

You could say it's all a bit straight, flat and 2-D ofcourse, but hey I'll just deny it!

I'm not sure about what it all means myself, it has something to do with covering up the blue cold and the cracks in yr life, but still showing them at the same time for the ones who take half a second to think. And I don't know why it's a girl really, it was a boy before. Oh well, things change I guess?
Miss_DJ (Oct 11, 2005)
denial...more than just a river in Egypt. Sometimes a very comfortable protective blanket. Nice art again...there's no 'denying it...lol
Krissebaby (Apr 29, 2007)
I don't see this as too straight, flat and 2-D. But then, what do I know? How I got an A in my 2-D Design class is beyond me!
Ruggi (Apr 30, 2007)
Maybe because it was a 2-D design class and not a 3-D one? lol

Ruggi (Mar 31, 2006)
Based on a short story written by a dear friend:

She sat on the edge of the bed and realized she was craving a cigarette. Not that she really knew what it would feel like to desire it, having never smoked, but there were certain times in her life when she’d had the distinct feeling that if she were, in fact, a smoker, that she would be lighting one up: the day she left her well paying job to risk starting her own business, the moment after she closed the deal on her house, and now, watching the pool of blood spread out from under the matted black hair lying on the ground before her. The desire stemmed not so much from the desire to calm her nerves but rather as a compliment to the immense sense of satisfaction she felt at those times.

A glance down at the massive lump of flesh, the belly fat rolling out the sides, the legs splayed, arms arching around the head, making him look like the grotesque lovechild of a sumo wrestler and a ballerina.

She imagined inhaling the sweet smoke deeply into her lungs and nudged him with the toe of her white patent leather pumps. Jiggle and settle. She did it again, harder. Once again, jiggle and settle. She nodded, satisfied, and imagined exhaling the smoke, watching it curl lazily towards the motionless ceiling fan.

For some reason she thought she’d hear sirens about now; wasn’t that always the way it worked? Other than the ordinary rise and fall of the traffic outside, she heard nothing. No bolt of lightning from God, no sudden appearance of her mother, no cops circling the house with weapons drawn. And so it was then; revenge was not played out under the lights of the big stage but quietly executed in the wings.

She tossed the remainder of her smouldering cigarette on his waxy back and disappeared like smoke out the door.

Ruggi (Apr 30, 2007)
Yeah I was pretty pleased with how the smokiness worked out in this one. And no, better skip this tunnel... it is not a happy place!

I think it looks great...the metal is like an iron...which reminds me of cathedrals cuz sometimes they look drab...but the bg pops it out and the melting is awesome
a_blue_orange (Oct 29, 2006)
whoa thats so crazy!!
It church is melting

I love the litle tiny people in the corner
Krissebaby (Apr 29, 2007)
I love how you captured the dimension in this and the blend of colors in the sky.
Ruggi (Apr 30, 2007)
The angle I picked somehow helped in giving it a 3-D feel, I think...

Nightmare? Is that good or bad...? *rolls eyes*
I guess it depends on weather or not you like him. I personally think he's pretty cool and has a very unique style.
Ruggi (Jan 31, 2007)
Okay... I managed to find out how to search for users... This Nightmare? http://zoraw.cellosoft.com/data/8/82963/82963-v1.jpg
