Why the lines?
blumarine (May 26, 2007)
Whenever I try to use Shi-Painter, I get horizontal lines on my board each time I scroll. This is annoying and messes up my work. Why does this happen? I always prefered PaintBBS but the PaintBBS here don't have many layers like the one from PallidBBS . Can we have that version too? I don't want to register to so many boards.

Very nice portrait. Great expression.
Sweetcell (May 27, 2007)
I see an amalgamation of Jake and a young (Mad Max) Gibson. Jeeeyah, what an expression. :)

It looks like a very young Mel Gibson to me. Regardless who it might be, it is very well done. I'm finding myself being very attracted to your art, in general.

this was really appealing to me...it's going to sound a little 'off the wall'.. but... I have walked along the beach at times when no one else desired to be there... so I was completely alone... usually it's in the rain, or in the cold, or during a torrential storm, sometimes it's just during the blazing heat of the day when everyone is tired and hungry and their kids are sunburned and crying and it's time to go in... they do... and I stay. That's my favorite time. You'd think you would feel alone... because the closest people are closed in the beach houses up the shore, bathing, cooking, laughing, watching tv, or a huge fishing boat that looks like a toy boat a mile out at sea, or a massive oil rig coming into the jetty, but... i don't feel alone. I feel surrounded by 'life'. The ocean is full of life, and so is the shore. That's what I saw in your little painting here... all of the little sand crabs, clams, and the sea shells... they either contain a life or they have a history of life.... each one has a face. Driftwood from a structure completely across the other side of the ocean, stones from buildings far away, there's so much mystery to wonder at.... all in the sand along the shore of the ocean. Everything seems to have a face... 'life'... this is what i see in this painting... so i love it. if it were on canvas i would BUY IT, take it to the beach house and hang it on the wall. There it would need no explanation. ;0

thumbs up on this one, lor =]

Yes, nice one :) The background gives it a good depth.

love the colors here

Woah, if I saw this hanging in a gallery I'd stop short and look. I love the red shirt, the green background, and I'd think those curlers were decorative hair pins. Little blush on her cheeks. :)

I reached another big milestone in my womanhood today... There is really nothing quite like having your boobs picked up by a stranger and flopped onto a table while you watch this evil vise come down and squash them like pancakes.

I AM an angel and don't you forget it Junoface >:P
And I always heard it was the "red tide", or "Aunt Flo's come to visit", or "the red flag's flying" or "you're on the rag"
Kloxboy (May 24, 2007)
Angel, princess, honey, hun, sweetheart, pumpkin, dear, darling, sweetie, baby, babe.....those are some manly words, aren't they? They seem to work though.

Avoid names like sweet-cheeks, honey cakes, tons of fun.....doesn't usually work out when you go that route. :)
Sweetcell (May 25, 2007)
Yeah but the red wave sounds kinda.... I dunno, less disgusting?

Hahahaha, oh you men, you do have it hard dontcha. But you still luuuvs us. :D

I am 100% certain that if a man would have to had some extremities examined, (like down below) they would have invented something less sadistic loooong time ago!

I just had to comment on this one, not only for the awsome pic, but for the political aspect. The Government OWNS the news. They make the news say what the gov wants them to say. I knew this General in the National Guard, He always used to give us safety breifings, and next thing I knew, he was doing the weather on a local station. :O IMO only, I think TIME Magazine is a load of BS, NEWS local tv/ Newspaper are also BS. Sure they may throw in a few facts, but the rest are lies, and they really just want to scare ya. Or so it seems. I for one hate seeing suffering. I see people suffer everyday, why do I wanna hear about more suffering? Know what I mean?
Axil62 (May 23, 2007)
I'd say yer on the right track, Wraith.

Thanks for comments folks!
mooki (May 23, 2007)
so true...so true...

Kloxboy (May 23, 2007)
Wraith: I agree, somewhat. There is plenty of questionable information floating around in the media, some of it's true, some of it's stretching the truth and some of it's outright lies. That I can agree with.

To live is to suffer and die. Does that sound grim to you? I think it depends on your perspective. Life has it's ups and downs but make no mistake, suffering and death are a part of life. I think it's only natural for people to be fascinated with the mystery of death, just as they are fascinated with the mystery of life, you can't have one without the other. Over 150,000 people die everyday on this planet, I certainly don't mind hearing about it, just because it's not the most positive news doesn't mean it's not news worthy. We report about life, we should report about death, makes sense to me. Reality isn't always pretty but ignoring it won't make it change or go away...well, unless of course you're insane, then all you have to worry about is how to destroy the microscopic, pink monkeys inside your shoe.

He can survive through a war but can't even light his own cigarettes?
Sweetcell (May 23, 2007)
Just awesome as always. Looks like the younger guy is a green rookie and the older guy has established himself as the rookies gaurdian, showing him the ropes and toughening him up, that includes a manly inhaling of ciggy. :)
DoOp (May 24, 2007)
haha, that's awesome X]
IkariIreuL (May 24, 2007)
Cigs used to be part of the rations man. But yeah I think this 'army' is a little different than standard-they be killin big green men!
Awesome draw, I love the expression of the guy on the left.
After an evil cig you´ll understand the green man part ;]

Of course not, I'm wearing knee high tube socks, the kind with the red white and blue bands around the top.

With all due respect but... Why do woman always fall for the So-called Bad Boys/Assholes? ( Cavewoman Instinct ?)

Well, good drawing so far Sweet Insanity! Sorry for the above Sentence, but its tru. Well at least where I live.

Edit* - I am sure there are quite a few guys out there who would treat you like a Queen. This last girl I met, I would have treated her like a Queen, And I would have changed my way of life, all for her. But she decided to stick with her abusive ex husband and also have another kid with him. I was like "Whatever!"
sweet_insanity (May 23, 2007)
To be honest, he' not a bad ass/bad boy/asshole guy.
he's some sweet dide that listens to metal. the conflict lies within myself.
because it's so out of character for him, i don't know what to make of it,
i don't know if losing such a big part of me is the way to go...

but now i kinda have to lol
blossombabex (May 28, 2007)
Other people have it much worse than you. Try have your whole life flipped upside down...awww....poor girl. Anywho random tangy over, just push through and find happiness in other things. For example, i find personal happiness in sitting on my head (only at home of course! don't like randomly sit on your head in the mall or something! that'd be pretty weeeeird...)
sweet_insanity (May 29, 2007)
i'm not saying "omfg i'm in the worst relationship in the world!!" no it was nothing like that, i was expressing my personal feeling in how i figured best to do it other then take it out on loved ones or myself.
you know what i'm sick of? the people who go around telling those who're in a tough spot "butch up, other's out there have it worse" you know what? no fuckign shit, someone always has it better, someone always has it worse, this is my therapy, this is my "personal happiness" if you don't like it you don't have to look, you don't have to comment.
