The text makes me think of postage stamps. Interesting color choices, and I mean that. Your color choices interest me. I'm interested.

Thanks Axil..oh wait, I mean Zack. ;)Thanks everyone, lol "seriously solid".
Sweetcell (Apr 18, 2006)
So very Elton John, and it looks like the style that Ren and Stimpy is done in. That and Dexters Lab and the Power Puff Girls. I don't know who the animators are but this looks like that style.Makes me smile :)

That dude looks like someone I'd like to drop kick... well, I would if he was real and I was the type of person who drop kicked people. ;) I hope she dumps him or whatever, he has dooshbag wirten all over his face. Great drawing, it's amazing how much style can come out of just a few lines.
Sweetcell (Apr 17, 2006)
Yes, dropkick his ass and then do a Bobbit on him. Letch.Good sketch so far though. |

Uber creepy, uber good. I looked at those pictures by Sas, she loves huge eyes. They remind me of those pictures of children with huge eyes that were all the rage in the eighties.

REally like this. Does have a Georgia O'Keefe feel. She is one of my fav artists of all time. She lived in New Mexico when she was old and painted lotsa skulls and bones. Her work is semi abstract. Hope you look her up. :)

This one is so beautiful. One of the views that I had was a tatto with the horns out. And this recalls me of RedDragon and blake_great_red_dragon

Trying out a collaboration with Cloxboy. I don't know if I can keep up with his skill level, as he's one of my idols on this board. It's a great honor to be working with him.

Ah okay - sorry, I wasn't sure if I was supposed to fill it in with something or not. Also Marcello showed me what Zoraw was - I wasn't sure if he was supposed to have organic parts or not, but now I know what he's supposed to look like. :)

I don;t think Zack was telling you NOT to crit. art ^^; I think he was defending Zep's art, I LOVE Zeps art, the reason you can tell it's his art, is because his unique style, it's not the same thing over and over again, it's always something different, just i don't know, like like buying a brand of clothes, a certain fashion designer you like alot, you buy it because you like the style, the style stays simliar, but it changes too. the style is unique.
Zack (Apr 18, 2006)
Don't be that way. I don't want people to feel too intimidated to criticize popular artists, and I applaud your courage. But my original comment was only about pointing out something I thought was very ironic, and since then it's like you've been determined to make an enemy of me.Maybe Zep could use more diversity. I'm not asking you to like his art, and it's fine that you don't. Everyone has different tastes. The reason I gave that critique of your work is because I don't think Zep's work is any more repetitive than yours and I wanted to show why I thought so.
xiau (Apr 18, 2006)
After reading all of the above comments, I realize I need to work on making my pictures more diverse. I just took a look in my gallery and it's boring. Anyways, getting back to the subject... Amazing picture, Zep. Lascaux seems to like you alot. I love the smooth colors and shading, and I like the way it looks like he's thinking about something. I adore your artwork :)

Hey everyone, just thought I'd make a quick post to show you some of the work that's keeping me from drawing on 2draw these days. This was modeled and rendered completely in 3DS Max, and the robot is my own design. front angle shot back angle shot low angle shot Man, I never thought I'd actually end up doing this kind of stuff. This guy is going to end up be...

Trying to draw some figures without a reference as practice before I attempt to correct that guy on the left in the previous drawing. I'm kind of screwed with the previous drawing since I drew the figures based off a reference (loosely, but still with a lot of aid when it came to proportions, anatomical detail, perspective, etc.). If I'm going to draw my own figure in there, I'm going to have to try really hard to convincingly make it blend in with the other two figures without making my own figure look like a badly drawn cartoon. It's been a while since I've attempted to construct a full figure without looking at anything - I've gotten pretty rusty, but I think I've improved at least on the feet a little after all the anatomy practice I've been doing (I realize the ones in this one aren't too great, but for me, they are an improvement). Feet have always been one of the hardest things to draw for me since they have to be planted firmly on the ground in perspective, and that's one of the parts where I can't really fake the perspective as a result (and I have a really hard time constructing any sort of organic form in perspective without some sort of reference). I was originally planning to save this one and delete it as with the majority of my quick practice drawings, but this one didn't turn out too badly. I might keep it around for a while and see if I can refine it a bit.

Wow, you really know what you are doing with the angles and positioning. Drawing those lines there is a great idea. I am clapping my virtual hands. |
