wow, i clearly dig your stuff, i really am amazed by your style, yet it seems you use no refs, wow. the posture in this one is quie funny, your style makes me think of those things that lights when you put them in the dark. On top of it, you are gifted for drawing the human with a wide knowledge of expression and posture, as much as extreme torsion and streching :P.
fleeting_memory (Jun 12, 2007)
creepy and awesome as always Klox. Nice fingers on this guy.
davincipoppalag (Jun 12, 2007)
Great depiction of what an addict might look like...
Sweetcell (Jun 12, 2007)
For as powerful a piece this is I want to see him with a top hat and cane. He just looks like he's about to break into a song and dance routine.

My mind is flooded with images of someone, a person I've tried to forget these past few months. I see a brilliant, comforting smile and a pair of dark blue eyes, it's her again (it's always her). I can't help but to remember her, I see these vivid scenes in my head, well preserved moments we shared that I wish I could experience again. Over and over, I see her face. She wears a playful expression, has an enticing gaze and her eyes are sending me an invitation. These images are so fresh, I can almost feel her presence every time I think about her, BAH! Her kindly smirk used to melt me completely. Thinking of her overwhelms me, I miss her so much. She's playing like a broken record in my mind and it's driving me nuts. Why do I keep her so well preserved? Why can't I let go? Time seems to help, I guess I just need more time. A while back I made myself mark this day on my calendar, a lot of good that did me. Don't mind me, I'm just venting, trying to cope with my longing. It's hard to fill the void sometimes but painting and ranting seem to help.

Love is a burning thing
And it makes a fiery ring
Bound by wild desire
I fell into a ring of fire...

I fell into a burning ring of fire
I went down...
And the flames grew higher
And it burn, burn, burns
The ring of fire
The ring of fire

The taste of love is sweet
When hearts like ours meet
I fell for you like a child
Oh, But the fire went wild

I fell into a burning ring of fire
I went down...
And the flames grew higher
And it burn, burn, burns
The ring of fire
The ring of fire

I fell into a burning ring of fire
I went down...
And the flames grew higher
And it burn, burn, burns
The ring of fire
The ring of fire

Just hearing that song in your head should make you feel a little better, no? As for your pic, it's gorgeous.

Oh the gradient goodness and flow.
davincipoppalag (Jun 11, 2007)
Once it's there, it never goes away. It's either fulfilled and enjoyed, or as time passes , we learn to cope with the lack of fulfillment. It's an endless sea, sometimes washing up on a peaceful shore, sometimes blowing up a tempest , this picture really does a good job of exploring how that is

The two of you should do a collab. I can't imagine what you would come up with. This is wildly fun and interesting
Punky (Jun 9, 2007)
This is insane. I like how you combined her technique into your own style, it looks awesome. This skull looks like its made out of candy or glass.
HunterKiller_ (Jun 9, 2007)
Candy skull! Yum!
Sketcher_V (Jun 9, 2007)
nice nice! i think the colors are quite nice! looks like you used the tree primary colors and their secondary one right? anyhow The result is quite captivating and interesting. A very complete artwork, also i must add, i love all of your work, it is very spontaneous yet quite messageful. You clearly have your own style, and that is a great thing

jawsome! i want to see the animation :D
DeadlyBlondeArcher (edited Jun 8, 2007)
Will you paint this on my surfboard? :D (It would look better on a black race car, but I don't have one of those)

I love the hot pink and purple together, I think you're totally awesome when you surprise me, and this did. I see a wicked tropical fish in a wave.

Similar style as my last piece but not nearly as loose. This technique seems to be more effective when I'm really sleep deprived but it was still fun to draw.

Nice flowy and greeny and wispy and yeah. =)
Sweetcell (Jun 5, 2007)
It reminds me of something. A children's special long ago, there was a tree or creature that looked like this. I dunno. It's wicked though.
davincipoppalag (Jun 5, 2007)
Fun-ness...it's all flowy and graceful...and looks relaxing to do
Punky (Jun 6, 2007)
I really like this wispy style. I love the hands on this creature.
I have weeds like this in my yard.

I look at this and think of a Pheonix rising from the flames. I know it's cliche but I can actually see it in the streams of flames. I just love how you make your paint strokes look thick and substantial. Did that make sense? :)
HunterKiller_ (Jun 5, 2007)
I like solve's interpretation. Intense rolling hot oil. =)
two-na (Jun 6, 2007)
perfect. lots going on, and still very nice
good, this, kloxboy
patienceisoverrated (Jun 6, 2007)
mmm i love the flow and movement. when i was little(er) I used to spend hours dropping food colouring in water and watching the patterns of the die swirling around. this reminds me of that.

If you didn't say he was yawning I'd think he was in deep pain.....
Or someone grabbed his gonads and gave em a squeeze. ;D

Such deep intence red, a shower of blood red. And as always, your picture's have weight.

Empowered by egotism, here comes the great composer of hypocrisy and presumptions. Unfounded declarations and weak convictions, revealed is your cowardice and nefarious nature.

Punky (Jun 3, 2007)
When I keep looking at it, I keep seeing different things. It looks like I'm looking up somebody's nose, or it's some weird kind of animal bone.
