Kloxboy (Mar 13, 2007)
I did this sketch a while back for a friend. This is not a serious piece, it's really just a demonstration of what you can do with the technique I mentioned on my 'Slappy McTwinkles - Cold" piece. Obviously, the lines were not too tight on this sketch but you can see how this might be useful, perhaps for concept art or placement for a more elaborate piece. And of course, if you have really clean, tight lineart, you can use this method to color your lineart.

Original sketch: Pyro

You can see that it didn't transfer perfectly but I'm working on it, I should be able to get it close with some tweaking.

8D That's sooo awesome. Great idea.
Sweetcell (Mar 14, 2007)
Can someone explain in real dummie talk how this works? Or better yet, draw a tutorial.
marcello (Mar 14, 2007)
Ok, Ok, the real problem I have with this technique is that you're using other software, you're using expensive tools that most people do not have access to--kind of goes against the ideal of 2draw. In this case I feel like the technique involved is complicated enough that most people will not take advantage of it. Just be open about it and don't only do it?
Kloxboy (Mar 14, 2007)
Marcello: Lol. I thought you were napping? ;) Well, I have the software and I know how to do it, so I will do it. :D

Gradient and layers icon. This is not what I'm looking for in the "The Great User Icon Contest", this just my personal icon because I'm weird like that. :p

HunterKiller_ (Mar 12, 2007)
Version one is pretty funky, too. Good stuff.
Naima (Mar 13, 2007)
Spiffy! Translates well down to icon size. (And yet another vote for coolness of v.1 :))

Wouldn't it be cool if I could put my Illustrator lineart into Lascaux Sketch? It would appear that I can.

Looks kinda like a demonic version of one of my little brother's pit bulls - his name was "Felony". I like it when you do blue, and this is smooth.
Pseudonymous (Mar 13, 2007)
lol...Felony...

If the old saying,"you are what you eat" is true than this puppy has not been eating his kibbles and bits. (he's eating people) Great pic.

at least if its to insult me please dont post anything on my stuff , we all know ure all so good, but i dont necesarily spend as much time as u on my drawing, so please next time if there is nothing positive in ur comment, i already find it hard enoughto keep up drawing when people like u tell things like that about my drawings so next time keep ur comment for the pros or sumthing like that,
Kloxboy (Mar 11, 2007)
sketcher2005: My comment was not meant to be an insult, it was merely a critique of your piece. You seem to have some type of complimentary goal in mind with your "women, I love you" piece and I felt you misrepresented your objective. I felt your drawing in relation to your title and description of "women, I love you" didn't appear to be at the level of quality you're capable of achieving. And from the perspective of being a man myself, who indeed loves women, I felt your drawing was lacking, especially considering your goal. May I remind you, when one submits art work to a public gallery, which includes a comment option, I think one should expect to receive critiques, opinions, comments, emotes, rambling, etc. and do so graciously, particularly when the comments are meant to be constructive.
