And I continue to love how you draw.
JillJJ (Feb 11, 2007)
Thanks so much again, I have so many wonderful pics in my head, but I have to become more, much more proficient with the tools! You are too kind, Klibese

This is a representation of the arabian breed, which I love! The head, neck mane and tail of this breed make it distinctive. JillJJ

I like this too, it's a different, loose looking watercolory kinda style.
JillJJ (edited Feb 9, 2007)
Thanks whitefox and davinci, I am experimenting with the tools. Appreciate your comment!

I must give my appreciation as well. This horse has feeling to it, emotion, and I love that. I can feel the wind in this picture. Learn the tool as you may, but never lose this ability.
JillJJ (Feb 10, 2007)
Thanks Klibese for your comments, and yes I am learning the tools. I appreciate the words on wind and feeling it!

Nobody: "Klibese: draw a small child on a playground dreaming of an imaginary world. incorporate his passion for dinosaurs."

So I had this great idea. I told myself, "Self! Wouldn't it be neat if this was allllll done with the pencil tool?No silly applet tools? That would make for a great simplistic effect, right, self? Self? Self? Why are you grimacing, self?"

So I told myself to shut up and did what I said to myself anyways. I'm not happy with how it turned out. I really should do better even if only with the pencil brush.

I have a friend who thought using the tools was cheating :) so congrats on not 'cheating' ~.^
anyway-this is very cute and fun at the same time-good feel to it.
Klibese (Feb 8, 2007)
Thanks, I have a similar friend, though she's a great deal more talented and skilled than I. But.. GAH! It's killing me for some reason not explaining all the hidden meanings in this picture, and I'm usually one to just let people get their own meaning!

You give me hope for performing from my mousy prison, Pancakey

Interesting, this does capture my eye... though admittingly it makes me wonder if you've ever tried to draw the original Optimus Prime. What with that Lay(me) movie coming out we could always use a reminder of why Transformers was a loved show.

My first nude, no reference used, I hope it is up to standards for this board, eventhough it is my first nude and first using lascaux (which I was frightend of at the beginning). But I must admit myself, I don't think it came out all that bad.

Lol, here I was thinking she wasn't all to symmetrical, her right buttocks is slightly narrower than her left. About the legs is true, I'd like to however point out (it may not be obvious) that her right leg is in front of her left leg. I wouldn't know how to draw muscles, next time I'll use a reference.

It was only then as they walked the hill, their child in tow, that Beverly could put their troubles far away and revel in the joy of the family he'd fought to bring back together, despite all odds. He loved the elf, with both his hearts he loved her, just as he loved their "Little Monster", Akandoroh.

Still, the time came for the question, as there was much she did not know or could not remember. "Beverly?", she asked in that young, yet eloquent voice that soothed his equinesque ears, "Were there times when you thought about giving up on all this? On Akandoroh and I?"

A wind would blow gently past them, and he would stretch out his torso before he replied; "As well thou knoweth, Flynnarill, I art not a saint."

Awww. Very cute. The baby centaur is adorable! I just want to pick him up and take him home with me. My roommates wouldn't mind.
Childlike_Vampire (Jan 23, 2007)
Wow, how neat. What a wonderful story idea, and a great picture to go with it. Perfectly illustrated! I love this.
Klibese (Jan 23, 2007)
Akandoroh can be a load of trouble, as he tends to want to get into everything and demands constant affection. (Just look at him cying for it now!) That, and people might start questioning how a half-elven centaur came into being. And think of the food costs!

But Danke, thought I really wish this was perfectly illusterated. I need to fix Akandoroh's leg and Beverly (The Biggun') could use slightly shorter legs, sicne he's based off of a Clydesdale. (if the Feather and his size didn't tip that off)
