I have this tube of henna paste, and I love making designs like this on my hands.When this first started out there wasn't any real objective. Just some squiggles. But when the image of a tiger thing showed up I had no choice but to indulge it. Well, I think it's a tiger. I've no idea what it is. But it has an eye, an ear, and a snout. Yay! Done!

welcome to 2draw tsm! i like the colors, but if you want to make it pop you can do a 3-D effect on it. but all in all the color are nice and so is the smoky effect.

Raven, my version! :) I like TT too much, apparently. Not finished and timer lies *was chatting* It was somewhat of a request from renire. It was turning out to be Raven until I had another idea. This was it: my version. Probably draw Raven in TT version some time later. Right now, must complete this!And yes, her shoulder is kinda out there but will fix later. *Forgot to say something* :P Yes, she looks like Starfire but who said Starfire owns her hairstyle? :D

Keyword.. necromantic?Don't know.. But it seems this unicorn, unknowing of itself being undead, has decided to pick the biggest rose it could find for it's chosen mare. But what is this? It seems some unfortunate person was trying to claim the rose first... Poor little human. Not to mention poor little mare, who's scream of terror will be heard for miles as she finds this gruesome stallion in her midst. >__>

Awesome job :3 I love this idea~I can't wait to see it finished X3 Edit: I've always wondered something, if Unicorns can stab things with their horn, wouldn't the wound heal up like...right away? because unicorn horn has healing powers? so the wound would heal on the horn D: and the unicorn would be STUCK FOREVER on the thing it stabbed....O_O....

Ummm ok well its probably not all that good though I tryed, but this is a collab with a friend. I hope its good enough for now cause it did take some time for me. ummm I really don't know what else to say so I will just wait for littlepony to finish it....

Erm... I'm no expert on realism, but you've got the basics down. I watched the animation, and you started by blocking the main colors in, which is definitely the way to start. Then you started using the blur tool, which, while useful at times, isn't the best in a pic like this. The dodge and burn tools are also dangerous when not used carefully. I much prefer to choose a darker shade of the same or a slightly different color. It's a little extra work, but it shows and gives the picture much more depth. Don't be afraid to shade with unconventional colors--if you're using a ref, and you see the colors there, they will work in the painting. For the fur on your cat, I'd take a very small brush at a low opacity and make short strokes in the basic color you want. Then, add darker tones in the same method. After that, work on the highlights, same way. The best thing that I can say about painting realism is--paint exactly what you see. Sometimes people have a an archetype in their heads, but if you work from that, the proportions can get all wonky and end up looking weird. I always second-guess myself when I'm painting. I hold the ref up, look at it sideways, upside down, whatever, to make sure I've gotten it the way it is. It takes a bit of practice, but with the start you already have, you should do very well.
