Rod Serling (1924 - 1975) I believe he was one of the most creative geniuses of our time, and changed the way we view the world. This one is for the others who were knob-clicking, rabbit-ear adjusting kids who loved him like I did. (I couldn't find any one reference picture that I was happy with, so I just sort of combined stuff I found)

--to which I might add,that many ideas have died on the vine,cause,basically,"with wisdom alone you don;'t go to market."this guy needed a tv. network,and cash,or else the twilight zone would just be an idea in a notebook,in the trash. Even microsoft needed some money to get started.Its one of the main reason we "babyboomers"were so creative,in the 60's,the economy was good,there were jobs,ect.ect. We had the fuel. Gotta have the fuel. It'll be interesting to see what happens to creativity in this era,in the US,and the future;already reality shows on t.v. stink to the Heavens,ugh.TV has never been so bad.Reality shows cost less to make,no writers to pay.But tv stinks so bad,I rarely watch it. During the 60's,we had so much good tv, it was dizzying. sigh.Twilight Zone looks so good now.

You guys can't see the animation? Well, he does come out of the arched doorway after a long day at his desk, walks across the street and into his apartment building. He takes the elevator to the top floor then climbs the one flight of stairs to the rooftop. There he has his watering can and lovingly tends to his flowers. After watering and removing some dry petals he stands at the edge of the rooftop for a while, watching the others in the city as they finish their days. As the sun drops behind the buildings in the west and the lights in the buildings begin to glow he heads back down the stairs and to the elevator. Hungry but not wanting to return to his apartment to face eating another microwaved supper, he leaves out the front door and goes around the corner to his favorite tavern where he orders a Belgian beer and eats pretzels from the bowl on the bar.

I presume he means that he personally would prefer you did it in private because he'd rather not see it.Just play nice people. People are allowed to critique. And people are allowed to disagree. I personally find this picture pretty creepy. Probably because she has no hair.

Thanks for that clarification. I don't like the picture at all myself, really, and that's not the point. I try to comply with the rules here, and I haven't broken any that I know of (intentionally, ever), but I WILL disagree when I disagree.

he was probably right. this picture is monochrome, after all, so it's not a good example. but I think it's safe to say that once someone is good, 'rules' aren't as important.

Thanks. I have my pressure sensitivity set to one notch below the highest pressure setting, but I guess that's just a personal preference, maybe I'm a little heavy handed and just need it that way. |
