Thanks Klox, this was all about the strange color the sky can get when night is clear in the sunset. Hey Dave I kinda like the bird thing, I wanted the effect I got but really felt adding them took away from the overall pic. Thanks magicwoman! I appreciate as you do any and all feedback! Jillj

The face is a bit strange but I LOVE your coloring style. There's this book I have on Nursery Rhymes I've had since I was a kid with the most amazing illustrations, your style reminds me of that. Lovely Michelle.

Thanks guys. I appreciate the comments. Is there something about the face I could work on to improve in the future? I really appreciate tips and advice for my art work. I love nursery rhymes and I have a notebook full of little child friendly poems with pictures to match.

So to repeat what I wrote before I was bumped off, this has the look of someone lost, who had a hard life, maybe from drink, living on the streets. Powerful. He also looks a bit like Kris Kristopherson.

Yes, very nice work, although the bigger bird does look a bit odd (it seems like it should be in the frame a little bit more). But the baby bird is really nice and I like the background.

This is vaguely reminiscent of "The Scream" ..at least it has the same kind of emotion in it.. Great stuff

This is... despair, this is fear, hurt. "The Scream" to me, is just frenetic, panicked energy being directed in the vague kind of implication of fear. This is... deeper, for some reason, closer to humanity rather than abstractism, declaring man as a small, weak being, rather than just a collection of shapes and colours. There is a raw quality in this as well that "The Scream" does not manage to convey.

Thanks Dave... Sweetcell, I really have always loved drawing, painting and sculpting horses. It is so great when someone appreciates the same beauty I see in them. I really need to be more disciplined to truely capture the images I want to draw, I had to replace my computer and lost a little time here. I truely missed this site! Thanks again to you both!

Thank you. :) You know, all these years my Daddy had never seen any of my digital art, and he came over recently, this was one of the things I showed him. He never once said anything about the "art" or if I "did okay"... He smiled at this and said... I remember that... and you were always the prettiest, happiest little girl. Then he kept smiling. I guess that means I did okay, here, I'm still not sure. :)

Hi Cindy! I haven't been here at 2 draw in so long.. a major computer blow out and now I have only a laptop. I just couldn't wait to get back to drawing! I will never be the artist you are but I do love the ability to create. Thanks for your comments. I think as I work at it I'll improve.
