I'm interested in characters interacting with one another, and would be interested in meeting people who have the same interest too! This is a chibi dance floor (just testing the waters). It works like this ... you draw a chibi in a dance pose (any dance, the crazier the better!), seemingly interacting with someone invisible. The next person then draws another chibi, in an equally crazy dance pose, interacting with the first! *twidles her thumbs hopefully* I don't mind if people draw over my character a bit, if you need it for the dance. Any number of couples can join! If there is no one to dance with, begin a new pose, and take the lead! (By the way, I WISH that there was an 'anybody can edit function' without me having to add names, but I will add anyone! Just msg me or comment here!)

N00bish thing to do but, I need advice on how you people who can do line art, do line art.I find it just so hard to do.

I think he's asking about the form more than the technical aspect of smooth lineart...I would say for starters your blue-base figure drawing is completely the wrong way to go about doing it. Although I'm no anatomy expert myself, I can tell off the bat there that how you did the arms and how the head connects to the neck on the blue sketch doesn't look right. I would suggest, in addition to looking at animations on this site, looking at books/websites on the subject, to work with more of a stick figure style drawing with circles/ellipses (handdrawn, that is) to build form. Think about how everything connects to eachother, and what relative lengths should be, and that will get you off on a better start. Once you have a good base form, getting a good flowing lineart that you're satisfied with simply takes practice. I highly recommend practicing on paper, though, since you can whip out 30 or 40 different designs until you like something without all the "overhead" of drawing online.

I can do better with lieart on Oekaki Shi-Painter. Seems to be easier for me.... but thats just me and I'm not a lineart specialist LOL So... I'll be taking Marcello's advice as well =-) Tried to do something with this... it didn't work though. Pretty annoying. Mod's... delete it if you wish.

Ok This is the third time I drew this. First time I got disconnected when I was almost done. Second time I tried a different board, and went to save and surprise I had error. So it was lost again. I did a printscreen of it and decided I didn't want to draw it all over so I copied it one click at a time. And let me tell you I will never do that again. It took me only an hour to draw it normally and 2 hours to copy it. So here he is and I know now that I am stuck using paint. Good thing I learned how to use it on another site. :D

Aww, Queen. I feel your pain. I think everyone here does. I have one called 5th time's a charm because I lost the picture 4 times. Once as I was submitting the finished picture. Keep going, though. These are too cute not to share. :)

When I drew it the second time and realized I could not save it I did a printscreen. Saved it to my paint program. Came back on here and opened it in my pictures. Zoomed in and copied it just like I drew it earlier. This option is not recommended LOL. Hope this helps. |

Yeah I'm more of a Mighty Mouse girl too, DBA. Not by choice though they never aired Underdog in Romania. Man I was preschool didn't speak a word of english but I still learnt the theme song for Mighty Mouse. With made up fake english words, God those were so fun.

Very nice. I think the angles are slightly off but that's really hard to do in a paint program. I like the roses. They're a nice touch.
