Contest Week 20: New X-Men Your goal this week is to draw an original Marvel X-Men character. You can draw whatever type of character you want, I only ask that you put the X-Men "X" symbol on them to indicate they're an X-Men member. The texture in the background is done by just filling it a solid colour, than going over it with one lighter and one darker colour with the diffusion and the opacity set really low :)

This reminds me of Grandpa's photography and some of the pictures he did. In fact, you've done a couple other things that sort of remind me of his work, too. Grandpa always really liked you. The thing I like about this piece is that it's so clean; clean with a simple touch of nature's beauty.

I like this LOT. It does look a lot like Dads work. I like especially the way you treated the cracks between the boards. They are not just a thick black line between the boards, they have depth, with just a little hint of light behind them. Good work son.

I'm curious, have you or do you ever plan to work on a comic? I'd certainly buy them. I love that such a juggernaut was stopped by a small little thing like that. Till they point that cannon of theirs.
