It's my best friends birthday today so I promised her I'd make her a cake. She's more deserving then anyone I know having gone through a lot of horrors last year, and still facing some tough times ahead. But sweeting everything'll be alright. I think it is just lovely. I particularily am drawn to the red areas...love the depth of color and texture. When I look at this I deffinately see the real paint effect. I think though that when you have everything else texturized that the beak may need a little more attention. I don't see this so much as realism, as an expressive color explosion. Just great marcus.---edit---- By the way I love the first version sketch...its got alot of personality.

Amazing. Wonderful skin tones. As far as Valo himself, I'd always been "blah blah what's the big deal" until I saw the music video for "Wings of a Butterfly", and now I'm like "guh". Granted, he sheared off all his hair, and I think that helps him (he looks kind of like a cross between Billy Idol and Billie Joe Armstrong from Greenday in the video.)
