I see inability to speak his sadness, loneliness, and feeling hopeless
Dr.Moony (Oct 31, 2010)
It's mainly about feeling calm(sleepy eyes), distant(foggy smooth shapes) and not particular special(lack of colors and contrasts). I think it's impossible to control what others might feel.
dorothyblueeyes (Nov 1, 2010)
This is scary ; oh, ok,yes, it conveys death. Also, I just realized, it reminds me of a fetus. Did you er...see any photos or xrays to inspire you? And dead bodies? Yeah,it is beautiful and scary at the same time.

Hmm, I like this one better than the SAI, though both are incredibly drawn. This one feels more raw in emotion.
lori (Sep 20, 2010)
yeah.. maybe you should stop being a snob and draw here more again |

Hey, I was wondering, can one see a cup(or any object) as an artwork as well as something to drink out of? Can these two ways of seeing be interchangeable?
firecracker (Sep 9, 2010)
He's very cute! He looks like a Native American boy.......very nice draw!! :)
montezmaria (Sep 10, 2010)
Darling and very cute innocent look.....the love of a childs expression. Nice artwork!
HiroDaZero (Sep 11, 2010)
lol thanksAnd Pam, I know that the concept behind it is the art, but why? Of all things, why art?
shults (Sep 11, 2010)
Because it was presented in an art gallery, because someone decided to call it art.I think some artists were testing the limits, wanted to see how far audience will believe it's art when they name it art. Others discovered it's easier than producing art themselves. But that's just me, I never attempted in 'getting' all that new art. |

omfg, my art teacher is driving me nuts. He assigns me a shit load of summer projects to do, and when I gring them to him, he says he won't even bother grading them >.>
TheCrimsonKing (Sep 3, 2010)
Whatda jerk, but this is cool.
marcello (Sep 3, 2010)
it's fine if he doesn't grade them, art is all about quantity... the more you do, the better you get. depending how many you had to do and the size of the class, it may not be practical to grade them. you should ask him to critique a couple of the ones you're most proud of...
Miss_DJ (Sep 3, 2010)
I like this one...the title is perfect for it, too.
HiroDaZero (Sep 3, 2010)
Marcello: I'm talking about developing artistic theories and researching artists and movements, all hand written on a sketchbook. I would MUCH rather have spent all that time painting, if I could lol |

Dr.Moony (Jul 5, 2010)
Hey guys. I want to practice my drawing skills on a daily basis, but I lack the dedication and focus to actually pull through. So I figured it would be easier and more fun if some people joined in. My idea: Each day everyone posts something they drew/painted/sculpted(/etc) that day - the focus being on improving skills, not making art necessarily ;) First round could be limited to one week, to see how things work out. Anyone interested?
