It's mainly about feeling calm(sleepy eyes), distant(foggy smooth shapes) and not particular special(lack of colors and contrasts). I think it's impossible to control what others might feel.

This is scary ; oh, ok,yes, it conveys death. Also, I just realized, it reminds me of a fetus. Did you er...see any photos or xrays to inspire you? And dead bodies? Yeah,it is beautiful and scary at the same time.

You know, I never say anything about who wins contests, because everyone is so skilled,and talented,and I do not really care. However, at this point,I really have to make a remark. I really DO NOT UNDERSTAND the process of "who's best"here,in contests. Some of the very best painters and artists who do fantastic work,never win, or get first place.(Not ME I'm speaking of) I am for abolishing all contests on 2draw.net, as they "only promote bad feeling". EVERYONE on this site is a good art...

Contest Week 104: Emotions So, hardly anyone entered the last contest. LAME. all of you suck, however SEND ME YOUR CONTEST SUGGESTIONS, and you might just get your contest idea picked. I wouldn't have necessarily put white on the water.Manually painted glow(not using heal or burn) takes practice in my opinion. The basic rule is to have very saturated colors for the transitions. Which isn't the case now on the water surface as you just put some soft white strokes on top of it. |
