"The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them."
Isaiah 11:6

Oh how I yearn for that day! But it will come, soon enough, soon enough.

Maranatha!

Doodlibop (Apr 26, 2004)
LovelyLori: hopefully soon! I haven't had the time to though lately, because this is really thought provoking work, and I'm terrible at bg's! *laughs weakly*

Tonight when I finished bathing I went to my dresser to put on my perfume like I always do, and when I turned on the lamp I saw that the bottles were glowing, some of them casting light on the others and I thought it was beautiful. I wondered how many times I had stood there seeing that but not seeing it.

Of course I didn't capture it as pretty as it was, but I tried. And I hope the names of the perfume you use don't say anything about your character. (lol)

No, yall are right, it does look weird. I kept looking at it and I obviously couldn't nail it either. The bottle on the left is an odd shape, and so is the lid, (The glass does angle in and the lid just plops on, it doesn't screw on and it was at that angle) but I don't think that's the problem... I just did it wrong somehow.

Thats really nice. ;)
You always have the smoothest coloring and colors!
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Mar 22, 2004)
(Hey, do you think if I mix the new perfume Paint with the old Obsession one I'll get it right?) lol
Doodlibop (Mar 22, 2004)
lol
lovely work as always! as soon as I saw that blue, I was just taken! I think you've done a wonderful job.

i wish i could have a day like this ^__^;

EDIT: my aunt saw this when it was partially colored, and had a burst of inspiration. heres the poem she wrote:

in focus

some people can't see what we see
some will never have the lens to look past skin and see the prettiness of your smile or how it
feels right now when we're holding close and tight.
they'll never understand that love is colorblind and God is love, because their camera still
holds the kind of film that's either in black or white.
but let us remain in focus, ok? and always communicate...meaning staying hazy free.
let life's photos of our love be evidence...us always positioned together...snap..
picture perfect baby that's you and me.

i'm glad my art could inspire hers ^__^

DeadlyBlondeArcher (Jul 13, 2006)
I was floating in the forest one time, and then when I stopped floating and I came down, I realized I shouldn't have been sucking on the Peyote cactus out of the bluff right on the edge of the forest.

I know this is probably light-years away from intermediate skill, but I wanted to enter the mascot theme. This is Akiko, and the Bg is just one of her sketches, I suppose. And for those of you who are wondering why there's a leaf after her name, it's because Akiko is Japanese for "Autumn Child."

Marienkind (edited Mar 17, 2004)
(pokes finbeast) though i'm a happy agnostic meatball, i'll have to say otherwise. the historical jesus did exist, anyway. Cornelius Tacitus (20 - 117) was a non-Christian Roman who wrote a book on Roman history and mentioned a man as "Christus".

"Christus, the founder of the name, had undergone the death penalty in the reign of Tiberius, by sentence of... Pontius Pilate, and the pernicious [or wicked] superstition [Christianity] was checked for a moment, only to break out once more, not merely in Judea, the home of the disease, but in the capital [Rome] itself, where all things horrible or shameful in the world collect and find a vogue."
dixielandcutie (Mar 17, 2004)
took the words right outta my mouth marien...was indeed a historically documented person and was indeed put to death by the at that time common practice of crucifixion...whether or not you affiliate that with anything religious or spiritual is up to you...
Doodlibop (Mar 23, 2004)
Yay! Though easter is as pagan as they come, I still will lift my hands and shout Hallelujah! Jesus thought I was worthy enough so He died for me!

Thanks! This is really nice! ^^
