looks very good so far.... I suggest that you fix the line of the right(viewers left) arm at the wrist... It looks just a tad bit funny... I know that you were trying to do the line of the thumb... just make it shorter...other than that, I really like the movement of this pic! cant wait to see it finished!

That face is absolutely AMAZING, if your friend can draw better than this she must be ridiculously good. You managed the anatomy well for such a pose, she remains proportional. The legs are actually the right length! *yays* |

Okay, this was much harder than it looks. It is so freaking hard to get all the little boxes lined up right and then I still didn't do it properly on the wings >.< but this can be my user icon for a while, until I tire of it.

Venting thru art! Y'know what's weird? When I'm happy, I draw horrible things, and when I'm sad, I draw happy things. Weird. Anyway, I was drawing this and decided for it to be Skan. Got around adding colors nicely. Skandranon and all related works and characters (C) Mercedes Lackey.Aaaayund blacked in, final outline. Imped in lion hindfeet in lieu of aquiline.
Skan if he hadn't dodged that Haighlei arrow :) Woops, forgot to dodge... The black lines would look better but I totally fubar'ed the layers tool >.<

In terms of figure, this is pretty good. But the lineart leaves much to be desired. Try setting the 'antialias' checkbox in Lascaux on, that will help some. Try using different thicknesses of line as well. The shading here is not really shading at all; all it does is make the lines look blurry, so I actually prefer version 2 over 3. If you're going to shade something, pick out a direction for the light to be coming from, and use the shading to indicate it.

Just a sketch. Didn't take me nearly as long as it says I did. I originally started drawing something different... but was struck with a flash of an image, and decided to draw it. So... Are there any skewed shadows or angles? Suggestions welcome. When I step back and look, the right eye look like it should be shifted, which I will probably do. But... comments? criticism?

This kind of looks like a deathmask. I would like it better with sharper edges, but I'm a pain in the ass about that.

I actually sort of like the first version best, it's very interesting. But the last version is very good, I don't see any messed up shadows, but I could be clearer on that point if I knew where the light source was coming from exactly. |

Wow! Um...I know it doesn't really seem to look that good, but when I saw this i totally felt the autumn air and the cold and the fog and the drizzle and the muted lighting and it was like I was THERE! Whoa anyways I like the birds the best. |
