This was inspired by children, and spring. I still love to blow bubbles. I used to think I had to only do it with my children, and then until my nieces came over, but now sometimes I blow bubbles just because I'm happy and I feel like it. I don't care if I look silly. (My golden retriever likes to chase them, anyway)

Good Dang DBA! Where do you get all that inspiration from? All your pieces are wonderful and I especially like this one alot. BUBBLES!!! *pops 'em* :D
Aubrey (Apr 13, 2004)
I agree about the depth, it makes it look all the more realistic and it's very hard to get a grasp on. You did it just fine :-D I love the bubbles too. My senior class back in high school was a bit off from the rest of the school. We all liked the stickers the english teacher put on the tests.. all liked ourselves just the way we were without being fake (in my opinion made us even better)... and a whole bunch of us liked BUBBLES lol. They actually made a rule we couldn't bring them into school anymore.. before that they never had a problem with people even bringing them TO school lol. Whoever came up with the Edible bubbles.. great idea.. twice the fun with twice the calories! *sigh* those were the days.

What a neat story, Aubrey! :) I always liked paper airplanes, and we could never do that... I substituted on and off for a few years when my kids were younger, and when I taught the little kids, like 3rd grade, I taught them to make these really cool paper airplanes and we flew them in class, and then took them out to the playground and flew them. (lol)

Hmmm does it count that when we were in high school we injected vodka into oranges and ate them in class? lol

Mom isn't running back and forth to softball/soccer/hockey/band practice, listening to why can't I get my hardship license so you don't have to do this anymore because I have to spend the nite at Jessica's house so we can finish our project that is due tomorrow because we have to work on it together or we'll fail can we have pizza pleeeeeeease? It's three o'clock! Get off your ass, Mom!! LOL

The new rookies in my NBA game don't have portraits and I need them to keep my fake stats, so I made it up! This may happen every once in a while, hopefully I will improve. This PF was from Israel, so...

How do you get it to look like you're working with clay?
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Apr 6, 2004)
Theodore Hunted, all right. Theodore Roosevelt hunted. Bears, that is, so now we have Teddy Bears. And you draw them all the time. Is this a subconscious thing.... LOL
dixielandcutie (Apr 7, 2004)

thanks dba.. ;) I'd love to do comic strips... there aren't any in our local paper... hmmm...
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Apr 6, 2004)
So march down to the newspaper office with a book of sketches, and tell them you've been assigned to do a comic strip. When they ask you who assigned you, just scratch your head (or your butt, whatever) and say, I don't remember... (lol)where's a good place for me to put these?
LovelyLori (Apr 6, 2004)
hmm now that's a thought... a good one! ;)

Man she's got effed up hands. Ok first try though you might want to clean it up a little. It looks kinda sloppy.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Apr 6, 2004)
Keep trying, it's not all that bad. Hands are extremely hard to do, takes aloooooot of practice. I think you did a nice job on the face and the hair. :)
davincipoppalag (Apr 7, 2004)
Well I dont do these, but I know if you click on the "anti-alias" box under the brushes you will get a smoother line. Then you can use the blur to smooth it out even more . Welcome

Tried to draw a dream I had as a child..the dream was very vivid and has stayed with me all of my life. It didn't turn out as I recall it, because I have trouble drawing fine detail...any suggestions would be most helpful.

I tried to draw a picture of a dream I had when I was child. I did say, 'I tried'...couldn't really get it to look like I saw it in my dream tho. I might try again when I learn more.

Well it works in the end I suppose...few things about this that I don't like but I'm too lazy to finish and I'm needing to get some ice on my foot. So here it is...who do you think will win? :D *remember...appearances are deceiving...>:) *

I dunno....is this based on 'Hellboy'? Cause, if it is, the nearest person is the good girl, and she's played by Selma Blair.

Love the blue fire. Great job, Everdream.

DeadlyBlondeArcher (Apr 6, 2004)
Playing with shade, huh? You're gonna be a dangerous "Playa" soon. Now I know where Axil gets his unique style and creativity from. (It sort of reminds me of a rough tiger's eye stone for some reason)

Playing around nicely too. I always liked black and white renditions of running water with stones and trees. This is nicely done, good lighting on the rocks

ooh looks like a great sketch! nice shading and all
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Apr 6, 2004)
As much as I browse around here I don't know how stuff gets past me for this many hours. Wow, this is a great sketch. I wish I could sketch well *pouts* This has alot of feeling just to be black and white, gives me a sort of cold, lonely feeling. Or maybe a feeling like babbling. Like I'm babbling. Yes, I am babbling. I do that alot. :)
