What is the deal with people having a problem with other people using a reference picture?? I'm not saying the quality of art on this site is comparable to the great masters of art through out time but if you do a little research you'll generally find that most of them used a reference of some kind. Whether it be a live model or standing in front of a scene while they sketched/painted it. I don't know about most of you, but its kind of hard to get someone to sit around here for 2 hrs or so whil...

The scene is my own, but I did use a reference from the CD booklet to finish up the face.

HAH! I was thinking of posting the link... and using those exact words... for the "reference police" LOL ... naw, I invited him over for barbque, and made him sit here for 6 hours while I drew him... here's the link...http://pro.corbis.com/search/searchFrame.asp and you have to enter ZUA693616 (copy and paste it) in the search box... I couldn't get it to pull up an address on the actual photograph, so I guess you have to find it that way

I like the statues they build in graveyards. They often build some really nice ones. It is mostly the dead young people and the children who get the most beautiful statues on their tombstones. I once saw a strange looking angel holding a piece of broken glass. I have also heard that some thieves often steal these statues. I heard of a story of a little girl who was not older than 4 or 5 years old when she died and her parents hired a very skillful sculptor to create an extremely accurate and lifesize statue of their little girl with angel wings. And decades after her death, graverobbers stole the entire statue and the parents felt very sad. <:(

This is so dramatic it left me in awe. I love how she drapes herself over the pedestal as if she is weeping and lost. You dig deep inside of yourself when you draw and you should continue to do that.

I dont smoke because smoking can cause Coronary heart disease, Peripheral vascular disease, Aortic aneurysm, High blood pressure, High cholesterol, Cancer of the mouth, throat and voice box, Lung cancer, Cancer of the pancreas, Cancer of the kidney, and urinary bladder, Emphysema, Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, Chronic bronchitis,Pneumonia, Influenza, The common cold, Peptic ulcers, Chronic bowel disease, Tooth decay, Gum disease, Osteoporosis, Sleep problems, Cataracts, Thyroid disease, Erectile dysfunction, and Fertility problems....Yep.

Xod is a sicko weirdo perv too... There are innumerable fetishes related to abuse of substances... there is smoking fetish (with girls who smoke or do what my favourite american president Clinton's mistress did), girls who drink alcohol (with staged films of drunk girls in sexual scenes who are supposed to be unaware of the filming), super fat girls (those are beautifully disturbing, hehe), bodybuilder girls (who obviously do steroids) and I have even seen a pornographic website with girls who do pot. Unfortunately some of those girls, according to medical statistics, will end up prematurely dead. Which brings us to the final fetish, one that I will resist to name. >;)
