Jello, EWWW!!! Jello is hospital food, especially if it's green and there's fruit salad trapped in it. But then, there is a condition called Labyrinthitis that gives you severe vertigo, looks like she has it and needs to go to the hospital, anyway. Cool drawing.

rofl no you weren't :) you were very helpful with all the comments you made ;)
I'm happy to be back! I'm really glad to see that oldies are still active!
and I'm glad that 2draw's community is kind of small. the internet is overwhelming :(

OOOOh, yummy, look so real! Great work Axel.yes, Axel is so good, he can teach any of us.those are absolutely delicious!

(My problem, I find, is that I am no longer the younger person who made all the very realistic or decorative work in my life. Apparently it no longer appeals to me, and also my hands can't do it anymore. Too much arthritis. But that just happens to some people with age, and definitely in my family.but also I'm not the same person, so my artwork isn't the same, and I can't do the same thing I used to do. Except for cartoons, is all., I found out that art isn't the only thing in life, and it doesn't do for me what it did, be such a great addiction.I did so much of it, I'm pretty much sapped out. I started in the first grade drawing in class, and I never quit.also, I don't feel like I have anything to prove to anybody except myself. Weird isn't it?I'm not sure whether it's a good thing or bad thing. Or neutral.) but I'm glad Axel is still going strong.

Oh indeed lori! This is exceptional! Quality piece and very well done! I love to hit my pieces with the dodge & burn tools at the very end too....adds that certain punch!
lori (Nov 10, 2012)
thanks guys :)

I think it's great... in an abstracty sort of way. It immediately made me think she has a fractured soul.... split personality... something.... Anyway, I like it.

This is from a beautiful photograph Dave took. (as most of his photographs are... exceptionally beautiful) I'm happy that he gave me permission to paint it, I enjoyed it so.

Thank you for sharing it with me, Dave. :)

I took an intermission between revisions and went to Surfside Beach for a week. :D

"...Down pour on my soul. Splashing in the ocean, I'm losing control. Dark sky all around, I can't feel my feet touching the ground. But if I can't swim after forty days and my mind is crushed by the crashing waves, Lift me up so high that I can not fall Lift me up.- When I'm falling, Lift me up - I'm weak and I'm dying, Lift me up - I need you to hold me, Lift me up - Keep me from drowning again..."

if I had to draw the two angels that I saw at my bedside when I was really sick with pneumonia, they would look like this, only more concerned looking... but they were this heavenly blue color.. it was so weird... I've often thought about drawing them but didn't think I could do it
dorothyblueeyes (Sep 15, 2012)
reminds me of old magazine illustrations, or cartooning style, with that foreshortening effect.maybe it's the face and nose, too.but very much drowning effect, alright, and reminded me instantly of Michelle Pfieffer (?spelling) movie where her husband has killed, drowned his other wife.

this is particularly a difficult type of scene to depict.from films, & photos of a body, & face drowning, the light diffusion from above, thru the water, can be tricky, & have strange effects, shadows that are hard to predict.

while this is good,(yes, very nice blue)I myself would want to use a real photo, film,or even a model somehow to see how the depth of water, clearness, ect., affects the overall picture. (we have had artists, here, who did some very good depictions of bodies submerged, and i don't know how they did it;it's hard.) so, yes, pretty good and ambitious. If you're still interested, there are movies with drowning,or deepwater scenes of bodies worth studying.any experiences from life, swimming, diving, or just underwater could be helpful.(quite a coup you got marcello to comment.:) ) yep, this is a particularly difficult type of scene to paint; i think it's good. (sorry if I seem too analytical, i'm used to being that way on myself.)

I really like this! Personally, I think the "w" looks a bit like "ce," but that is minor. I really only notice it when looking for it.
Rosie906 (Feb 14, 2012)
This is really cool.
I'm new here, and I have a question, how would one post on the 2draw ink board? I can only see beginners, intermediate, advanced and the live boards. Am I missing something???
Axil62 (Feb 14, 2012)
You don't "post" anything, you go there, choose an app and draw something.
dorothyblueeyes (Sep 2, 2012)
this is very beautiful; I practiced Chinese watercolor styles( I learned out of books)as a teenager, and I loved the tools and the styles of depicting nature. I consider Asian (traditional) painting some of the finest in the world.Water alone, ocean waves, ect. are so exquisite. I miss that.( I will probably start taking figure drawing class again, i'm so out of practice. i;ve lost my eye.I need to draw from life again.computer has made me lazy,)

This is so funny... no way can any other robot creation outdo the skill this robot has.
Sweetcell (Jun 1, 2006)
When I unbend the paperclips and need them bent back can I borrow him? Rent him out maybe?

I love the way he looks, so simple yet.....
