Yaay! A cute night scene! Is this a desert? I like it. ^^* I especially like the attention to the sky colouring and the horizon line. Very pretty...!Can't wait to see it finished, for sure! X3

Nope, it's not a desert! But thanks for the compiment anyways! The black is supposed to be a mountain, the orange, the sunset. You know......twilight! ;)

I agree, I think the rocks are the best part of this. Maybe you should try a desert scene... like Monument Valley or something. I did an oil painting of it once, it was one of my best, I thought... I gave it to one of my brothers. I thought about doing one here, but don't think I ever did. Do keep practicing, you'll only get better.

Rocks that rock, as always Dan hit it right. I just suggest you make the water farthest on the horizon closer to the water washing up on the shore, that sea green/blue, thin out some of those thin white trails, and whatever those grey things are in the distance, blur them (lightly) so they look farther. Makes me think of a post card from Florida. Pretty. |

I don't think it looks quite like stained glass, (only because the colors seem really receded from the connecting lines of the glass...) but if left at "a simple abstract..." it's appealing as such. |

I like the colors you're using here. For this one you could try zooming in some to clean up the lines. Just keep going over them until they look smooth enough to you. Keep at it and you'll definitely improve. :) |
