interesting ... I don't have enough energy for cereal bitching lately, too concerned with a few things... I do love Peanut Butter Crunch though

What tool did you use to do his fur.....it's so awesome. Did you use the air brush tool or the pen? I draw in chibi, but I never use air brush.....I only draw with the pen tool. I don't know why I do that....but that's what I've been drawing with..."lol". I don't know how to draw fur that would look as awesome as this.
miha_clau (Jan 25, 2010)
his eyes are so cute:)
TumblingUpwards (Jan 25, 2010)
I used a combination of pen and air brush, I've used air brush on most of my art I do in the digital world so its what I'm accustomed to. It gives me a soft but adjustable flow that I like and then fill in with pen for the harder crisper lines like whiskers and lashes as you can see I forgot on this one because my dog is quite active and most of the time her whiskers are broken off.

BMW, I could do a cat if you'd like but with work I don't have much time to be here, this has been interesting, working on a 400x400 screen isn't easy either.

Futon frolic.
I tried refining the hatch shading a bit. Probably won't do much more with this. It was an exercise in trying to remember how to draw after not doing anything for a long time. I'm sure I shouldn't try a complicated pose without a ref--lotsa stuff off. Feels weird when you can't even manage to get your tablet angled correctly to draw diagonal lines. My drawing hand is retarded. At least I'm hoping it's my hand and not my brain. :-O

Well that sounds great, but were gonna have to wait till the dishes are done and is it alright if I bring along my mother as a chaperone?
Flubbles (Jan 21, 2010)
I'm guessing you both used the same photo reference.
Axil62 (Jan 21, 2010)
I'm almost positive.
Bobstained (Jan 21, 2010)
I like it when people use the same photo reference but approach it in their own style, people should do it more often.

This is nicely done. I play viola myself, but violins are nice too, and the way you painted the wood is beautiful.

Yes, and Oxfam is a great organization for helping in natural disasters and should be commended for all of the work they do (on a daily basis and when disasters strike). My point is that, once again, America also stepped up to the plate, without having to be asked, and is also helping - both the government and private organizations and private citizens. Yet after all of the help is rendered, everyone goes back to criticizing America.
I feel like I have 1 degree of separation from the Haiti disaster because my art instructor does missionary work in Haiti and supports one of the orphanages there. He shows us all of his photos that he takes when he goes there, and he has brought some of the orphans to visit our art class, and we have met them. He had the class paint pictures from his photos and auctioned them to raise money for the orphanage. The orphanage was spared destruction, but unfortunately, one of the orphans was killed in the earthquake. He gets daily emails from the orphanage and shares these with us, they are rationing food and water and need help. Ted Turner had his private plane fly in food and water for them. A lot of people are doing whatever they can to help.
