The bottles are green. They cannot run fast like spot can.

It amazes me what you do with solid color patches. Marcello, these are Boone's Farm Apple Wine bottles, it's the good stuff, almost $1.00 a bottle!

I really think it'd be niiiiiiiice to have a party somewhere in the future, somewhere fairly centrally located for most people, even if it was to meet up for New Year's Eve somewhere big and public... I dunno... tons of ideas, but who would like this? not that it's easy to make trips like this.... but it'd be sooo fun, even if only some people could do it

Anyone tried out this drawing program, ArtRage? I'm curious on your guys' takes on it as I'm always look at alternative ways to draw digitally. I'll post my personal comments on it after I hear some of yours.

Oh, woah. This is my first try at a person. A pic of the girl in my fav. band, Enon. Her name's Toko. I'm going to finish later, I'm kind of tired. I really gotta fix that eye on the right.

This is really good work but I do have to agree with bumpinthenight: the anatomy is a little wierd. Her right arm and hand seem slightly disproportionate, it might just be the way you forshortened the arm but for some reason I don't think that's it. Also, her hand is too small and her neck looks just a little long (or is her neck really that long in real life?) Anyway, Loved the colors and the ideas; never stop! Peace, Jack
eh (Aug 22, 2004)
yeah that's the way her arm is shortened, it's bent. i don't know. you're right about the neck though. thanks.
bumpinthenight (Aug 23, 2004)
ooh... sorry for not coming to this earlier.... ummm, the shoulders need to be less loose and much more symetrical.... the bones in human shoulders dont quite go that bendy :)... also, it wouldve been better if you had done the shadows on the right (viewers left) shoulder using the burn function in lascaux (the dark blue circle underneath the light blue circle that is the dodge function)... using that function, you can select the opacity that you wish to use and even use a cell-shading style (with the rounded brush that has no fuzzy edges)... hope this helped... oh, it would also help if she had even a bit of a chest....
eh (Aug 24, 2004)
yeah i don't really get the burn or dodge tools ... the shoulders are like that because of the way she's leaning. and she doesn't have chest at all in real life sooooooo...

JackSprat (Aug 19, 2004)
This is great! I love how it looks like a blend of realism and comic style. Almost like Patrick Nagel goes punk.
Axil62 (edited Aug 19, 2004)
Love it but I think V.7 is better.

"Hello CD listeners. We've come to the point in this album where those listening on cassett or records will have to stand up...or sit down and turn over the record or tape. In fairness to those listeners we'll now take a few seconds before we begin side two........thank you, here's side two."
Aubrey (Aug 19, 2004)
lol Axil. I always hated trying to find a certain song on a whole cassette tape of songs. Then when ya did find the song it was partly over so it was the whole *rewind* *fast forward* game clickin the buttons to find the beginning of the song. *sigh*
At anyyy rate, this is a really cool picture Kasha, I'm pretty sure we've all looked just like that with the hand motion and all at one point in our lives.

Its a sheep called Mint Sauce that rides a bike. Own interpretation taken from the comic in Mountain Biking UK magazine (aka MBUK).

This is awesome! wait...is there an echo in here? Nice clean lines, great piece with interesting action. LOL...too funny! I love how you've achieved depth in the tree with different colors. The sky is great too...lol...I just love this toon!
Axil62 (Aug 19, 2004)
It is great. The balance between toonland and real world is perfect. Not to mention the cool swoopy action of the bike and rider. The fact that the bike is leaning like that really adds more to it than you may think.
Aubrey (Aug 19, 2004)
I want the camera to follow him and see more trickssss *sniffles* It's just not meant to be :'( This is a really neat picture Brain and who knew sheep could be so talented? lol

Any way of blending a single layer in Lascaux?
DireOnion (Aug 19, 2004)
As in "I can see other layers but my brush only blends with the colors of the active layer".

no way, get outta here, you cannot be serious, you've got to be kidding, that's impossible, it cannot be true, no effing way, go on, that's just not right. How could you copy this so accurately? Oh no, another cold sore and it's a week before my vacation!... Great illusion Axil, and thanks Staci for proving it's true.

I tried to give it that semi-quick watercolor & ink kinda feel. Sometimes "simple" works pretty good and it's just fun.

When they flew in formation, it was awsome!! I used to climb the fence at the airfield when they were ferrying them cross country.
Aubrey (Aug 19, 2004)
Yep sometimes less is more. This is one a those times for sure. I like this kinda style very much :-D
