awsome-her skin texture rocks
patienceisoverrated (Jun 19, 2006)
yay, it's done! I've kind of been watching for it. I love her hair and the skin on her stomache:]
Sugarskull (Jul 4, 2006)
Not bad, Devon Aoki has a unusual facial structure. You captured some of her likeness, which must have been a bitch to do. I'm liking the skin texture on the face, especially,
Enchantment (Jul 7, 2006)
Devon Aoki? She so hot. |

It's sort of surreal. Reminds me of Waking Life (which is a compliment).
Jodylicious (Jul 5, 2006)
Wow, this is really beautifull. I really enjoy the colors you used for this, and I agree with safescene, its surreal. |

Sing it, sister!
Sweetcell (Jun 30, 2006)
I think the sing it sister threw poppa off. I love how with only a few strokes you got such a rich feeling in this. Reminds me of Dan's work.
VQ (Jun 30, 2006)
This is such a great piece! It looks like a painting. Why do such great artists draw in beginner? I feel like I am amongst gods.
SYTHE (edited Jul 1, 2006)
OMG, he looks like the president of North Korea! Have you ever heard that song "Ding Fries Are Done", he could totally sing that. :) http://load.pquinn.com/binaries/fries/

I heard a story once, I can't remember all the details. It was about an Emperor and a painter. For whatever reason, the painter was faced with death for some infraction. The Emperor made a deal with the painter, a deal that if the painter could paint the most beautiful meaningful painting the Emperor had ever seen, his life would b spared. The painter thought long and hard. After the painter was finished with the painting the Emperor was floored by the pure genius and beauty of the painting. This is my version of that painting. The Emperor loved it because it was a brilliant concept, the bird already having left the painting both shows movement, insight, simplicity and lets the viewer imagine their own interpretation of a beautiful bird, therefore seeing one. I don't know if it's a true story or not, but I've always liked it.

It also really helps to use tablet pressure on size/opacity for clouds. Like a hella lot.
Axil62 (Feb 1, 2006)
Yup, forgot to mention that. ( I foolishly assume everyone uses it. Why wouldn't you want your tools to simulate a brush as closely as possible?)It's like.... yeah, it isn't gonna work out to well unless you do use pressure sensitivity.
pandabarrie (Jun 30, 2006)
oohhhuhHOLY SHIT!i was looking through your gallery, stopped at this one for a bit and when i went to scroll down again, i could have sworn the clouds moved..... |

I got a sixty-nine chevy with a 396Fuelie heads and a hurst on the floor Shes waiting tonight down in the parking lot Outside the seven-eleven store Me and my partner sonny built her straight out of scratch And he rides with me from town to town We only run for the money got no strings attached We set `em up and then we shut `em down Tonight tonight the strips just right I wanna blow `em off in my first heat Summers here and the time is right Were goin racin in the street We take all the action we can meet And we cover all the northeast state When the strip shuts down we run `em in the street From the fire roads to the interstate Some guys they just give up living And start dying little by little piece by piece Some guys come home from work and wash up Then go racin in the street Tonight tonight the strips just right I wanna blow `em all out of their seats Calling out around the world Were going racin in the street I met her on the strip three years ago In a camaro with this dude from l.a. I blew that camaro off my back and drove that little girl away But now theres wrinkles around my babys eyes And she cries herself to sleep at night When I come home the house is dark She sighs baby did you make it all right She sits on the porch of her daddys house But all her pretty dreams are torn She stares off alone into the night With the eyes of one who hates for just being born For all the shut-down strangers and hot rod angels Rumbling through this promised land Tonight my baby and me were gonna ride to the sea And wash these sins off our hands Tonight tonight the highways bright Out of our way mister you best keep `cause summers here and the time is right Were goin racin in the street ~Springsteen~

I only ask because I have trouble with the jaw in that position. Hoped you could help out with that vass knowledge you contain. Everything looks fine to me.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (edited Jun 22, 2006)
I have trouble with faces on a flat plane /or angled like that as well, so I understand your question... he seems to pull it off rather nicely each time, and I always wonder how he does it, myself.
HunterKiller_ (Jun 22, 2006)
It's beautiful. Maybe a little more contrast?
Pantera (Jun 30, 2006)
