Looks like an old painting :) Very neat and very pretty technique Long.
Pandora (May 18, 2004)
The material of her gown seems flowing like her hair. Once again I just love it.
laurael (May 18, 2004)
The colors are just awesome on this...love the way you did her hair and the eyes are too cool!
Baka-Usagi (Jun 7, 2004)

He looks great for a dead guy! ..lol You did a really one here.. it really looks like one of those old portraits you find in state houses and such.. very very good.. it looks like oils on wood...
DinoFlorist (Jun 6, 2004)
Hm? I never saw this one before. And you never even told me about it. Shame on you, shame! Becasue you know how overjoyed I am to see old history book style paintings. This is what I wish to paint in real life, you know. And you can do it. >:( I mean, thats great that you can, but I still have to get over my customary jealous rage.

Yeah, doves might be evil. These (what i drew) are kind of just generic "birds." But the actual event that took place was on a busy street with geese. It was morning, still kind of dark, and it wasn't me that hit it. But all the cars had to stop because of the other geese that were mourning it. It was the one of the saddest things I've ever seen, and if I had more skill, I would try to portray it more accurately. But, I just wanted to get the feeling that I had out there, I'm not sure if it succeeds or not, but two people said sad and one said "hahah! good! doves are evil! (paraphrasing :) )"
davincipoppalag (Jun 5, 2004)
Isn't that something how geese do that... there are lots of Canada Geese in the parks up here..now and again someone hits one as it crosses the road.. and the others actually do come to investigate and then to stand around the dead one squawking..like they are mourning.. this is a good sketch Dino..sad..but good
bumpinthenight (Jun 5, 2004)
mah gawd this is sad!!! Poor duckies!
Aubrey (Jun 5, 2004)
That is so sad... here cars do anything possible not to hit a duck or goose.. Traffic stops on the busiest highways forever til the ducks waddle across safely. Just something about them. They're just so cute and innocent.. ya look at them and just wanna smile.

hey.. it hurts the girls just as much as the guys lol
mooseflower (Jun 4, 2004)
I wouldn't know, I ride horses, not skateboards on railings and I have a nice soft finaly broken in saddle that I should probably oil more often. But I do have friends that are girls and skateboard and when they fall like that (though only one of them has ever done that) they do not roll around that way. She just said "f***ing s**t!". Therefore I came to the conclusion that either it doesn't hurt girls as much or girls just have a lot more dignity than than guys. Or something like that... :)
taori (Jun 4, 2004)
i imagine it hurts a lot more on guys, but believe me, it still hurts like hell on girls. ^^; anyway, i love his expression. so painful. yeesh.

ShadowKitten (Jun 2, 2004)
i think its cool how the clock is emphasized because the background is blurry
Kasha (edited Jun 2, 2004)
cool, where exactly is this at? I've seen one in Houston at Bank Of America in downtown. I used to see it all the time when I would wait for my mom to get out of the elevators. Except the one in the bank has this lil door in the base of it and I would always imagine a lil goblin makes the clock go tick tock. Nice work. :D
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Jun 2, 2004)
This one is in Houston in The Plaza. There is a door in the back of it and there is an oil refinery grease monkey monster that operates the clock. lol

Aubrey (May 31, 2004)
Hey there Mr. Jimsan!! This is a really great picture, nice indeed :)
DeadlyBlondeArcher (May 31, 2004)
I didn't mean the picture's not perfect, Supergurl, we were talking about the country not being perfect. I think the picture's probably closer to perfect. lol :D

I think I see what you did, here... each version is like a separate piece of work, a transformation from turbulence into calm. This was really a neat idea, and the final picture does give you a feeling of tranquility - although she does still look a little sad and hopeless.
davincipoppalag (May 29, 2004)
Very cool transformations...
emmamommalag (May 29, 2004)

Dragon Breath Mints -- check. Romantic atmosphere -- present. Shiny jewelry -- ready. Mr. Toad is all ready to be kissed. Bashful and cute maidens, form a line to the left of the sign. Who wants to go first?
