A tribute to my friend who makes a living as an urban illustrator. I work for a digital art publishing company, he works for Nike...I once thought he was a sellout but his Nike money pays for a nice apartment in Manhattan. Damned me, I'm drunk with envy...and vodka.

The urban illustrator I speak of works for Nike, Nickelodeon, MTV, HBO and every fucking company I can't touch with a stick. He's about 5 years further in the game than I am so I guess I shouldn't be such a bitch about it.

good point about the cheesyness/coolness,kejoco, I always thought both actors had the same style too. I always wished that the batman uniform was better though. Especially the wimpy ears and eyeholes that he couldn't see through.

basically it's an elitist buddy-back-patting system which has no real relation to actual quality of art or an formal guidelines or process...so to answer your question, no there aren't any particular steps.
