New server!
marcello (Jun 16, 2016)
After several months of work, I've finally moved 2draw.net to a new server. Everything should be working the same, but let me know if you see anything weird. The new server is now encrypting everything with HTTPS. It might also be faster. Also note that if you were adding an Java security exception for the old server IP address (209.20.85.248), that won't work anymore. You should be able to now add https://2draw.net as an exception in Java applet preferences.

And I loved that freakish windmill house and the village on trees where everything looks peaceful but there was something rotten there.. Oh, and he also had a great piece with blues and yellows, it was some sort of organ combined with a machine..

I love green, green is Deino's favorite color :) My reference has very low quality, so I'm inventing some details so it looks better.
This is my last drawing of the year! x)

EDit: I'm realy proud of this drawing... :)
Edit2: Showcase :D Thanks!

Happy New Year to all of you! x)

How the heck do you do this quality of work. It's just beautiful and her expression is exquisite.

wow, the sky and the background look AMAZING! holy moly @_@
I don't know...maybe it's the fact that I had stared at this for the LONGEST time in awe that I started to realize tiny details and maybe it's the fact that dragons KINDA scare but something about the tail just doesn't look...right.

In the thumbnail, I see no flaws and it looks great! A closer look, and it could have been way better. Nice rushed picture!

you use the other side of the brain? you mean, just take a picture, and view it very objectively, minus any meaning to the picture? your brain just photographs it literally?
Teapot (Apr 19, 2015)
It results in forcing you to see more accurately what you're looking at rather than drawing a preconceived notion of what something looks like. Everyone does that unconsciously. I'm sure you can get 'Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain' by Betty Edwards from your local library. http://www.amazon.com/The-Drawing-Right-Side-Brain/dp/0874774241

So amazing. One of the most beautiful photorealistic pieces I've ever seen.
dorothyblueeyes (Oct 7, 2011)
Very beautiful. I think I know the difference between me and many of the other painters here, now.For example, this is very smooth, finished, and slick. It' very professional. Good job. I do not tend to like going all the way to smooth, finished, and photo-like. I like the paint(figuratively) to look and feel like paint.I even like it similar to paint, messy and gooey. And there seems to be a tendency here, to like everything very smooth, slick, and finished. Guess I am out of the groove. I just like allowing for different styles, and different veiwpoints of what painting and drawing is.
Teapot (Apr 5, 2016)
Actually, Dot, this is quite impressionistic compared to the photograph, not an attempt at photo-realism at all.
