Yeah; I've been told quite a lot to become an illustrator, but I can't draw a picture without something violent in it. It is a damn shame that photography has taken over, probably why I despise it so much. But, as with anything, there are certain exceptions. Medical Illustrating is awesome, but art is a personal thing for me. I don't want someone to take it away from me, like they almost did in high school. (Dear God) As soon as you take the fun out of arting, the inspiration and motivation is gone.

It's mainly about feeling calm(sleepy eyes), distant(foggy smooth shapes) and not particular special(lack of colors and contrasts). I think it's impossible to control what others might feel.

This is scary ; oh, ok,yes, it conveys death. Also, I just realized, it reminds me of a fetus. Did you er...see any photos or xrays to inspire you? And dead bodies? Yeah,it is beautiful and scary at the same time.

When I arrived at the contest page I was in the middle of an article about Igor. I had followed a link from the reference image, a portrait, by Pablo.I was feeling envious of both artists' courage to challenge the accepted norm and their ability to create.

Contest Week 104: Emotions So, hardly anyone entered the last contest. LAME. all of you suck, however SEND ME YOUR CONTEST SUGGESTIONS, and you might just get your contest idea picked. This week is going to be emotions, happy, sad, jubilant, melancholy... ONE CATCH. it has to be the emotion you are feeling right now. as your reading this. art is one of the best nets for emotion, and I think often with digital drawing we get caught up in the technical jibber jabber of drawing, ...
