pawillie (Mar 21, 2013)
this is me at a petting zoo, I have lost 100 pounds through bariatric surgery and still need a walker to get around, it is taking me a long time to draw this because of tremors in my right hand

thanks Suntan, I have had 5 surgeries since 2009 but the gastric bypass has been very helpful. I hope your friend does well, one thing I was warned about was the change in temprament that can occur afterwards because we can no longer rely on food to handle stress. That has been the most difficult thing to deal with but I hope it will pass. It is important for your friend to talk with the bariatric team if something like that becomes a problem
Suntan (Apr 2, 2013)
oh boy..thanks for telling me that. He's a very volatile guy and for all the months (year) of getting ready for this I've never heard him mention that..and he's talked about this a lot with his friends. Good to know. Thank you. Hope you have continued success. :)

another thing to add Suntan, is a person can easily become addicted to drugs and alcohol afterwards as well, he may know this stuff but is not talking about it, luckily I don't like either one

I feel like my eyes are too sensitive for this, but I want to look at this more at the same time.

HI! I wanted to explain that this is meant to be a duel picture; the overalll view is one, and all the close up shots of the detailed parts is the other view.--yes, kind of like a map. I was reading about quantum physics, and how we're made up of such tiny molecular bits all moving around; and yet, all the tiny bits are all connected to each other. That is what started these pictures; I have others on other oekaki sites, too.

All my life I have been a realistic, figurative artist, drawing things literally; i finally wanted to explore pure design and shape and color, almost in accidental ways.--as if God had this huge view of everything, but also the tiny details that all make it up. I wanted everyone to be able to see the details close up ,but I think the software doesn't permit it.

Was listening to some random piano music on youtube (Link above) and watching the animation of this mouth watering burger appear before my eyes.

I love your symmetry.

I'm usually not a fan of over-symmetry, but you make it work.

A breath of fresh air!
dorothyblueeyes (Feb 6, 2013)
yes, maybe we complain too much, or I did, and maybe that's why they don't have the contests. But they would be fun. Very nice little drawing of somebody wanting spring to come.

It's comin

'"DEATH BY WORLD CLIMATE CHANGE"--did not turn out exactly the way i intended, i wanted a brief symbolic line drawing not so much a painting; and i didn't want a cartoon; and i used that wierd architectural tool. (i have read that in one ocean, the basic lowest critters on the chain, are sick and dying, and they support all the upper critters, including finally us. not good. only time will tell. it's a subject the more i learn about it,the worse it looks. i'm more worried about the whole PLANET, not humans; we're responsible for what we do to our future.)
