is it possible to move this over to the contest board?
Deformed (Sep 18, 2005)
You're back Jord! And with a great drawing, may I add! Awesome concept/ lineart!
davincipoppalag (Sep 18, 2005)
This is great! It looks like it's one of those little airplane spinners they make out of the actual soda cans...

Yay for crappy backgrounds! And I couldn't decide on a base color, so you can see a male and female color scheme by clicking v. 3 and v. 2 respectively. No! Of course I didn't do this just to draw those big beautiful ears and those gorgeous color markings! Now for the encyclopedia-like description!Eurlets (YER-lit) are the docile, anatomically impossible creatures that Garden Gnomes can somehow communicate telepathically with. Until recently (it was only recently discovered that they could communicate), Eurlets were thought to be the most ignorant species on earth. When frightened by a predator, they would run for fifty yards at most, then just come to a complete stop, meeting their demise. Knowing this, it's not surprising that their numbers were rapidly decreasing in the wild (some would even die in zoos, leaping over fences and such). But these deaths weren't caused by stupidity, it turns out that Eurlets happen to be the most unselfish and generous creatures on earth. They would run from their attacker at first, but then start to think that perhaps that lion had a family at home, a wife and three small children, one had a limp and couldn't keep up with the other children. And perhaps he had just lost his job and they were all starving, and the youngest would cry and cry and ask why they didn't have any food. The Eurlet would then give itself up for the poor, starving family that usually didn't exist. It's also because of their generousity that they're more than happy to tote the gnomes wherever they please in Eurlet Chariots. These chariots aren't crafted by the gnomes of course. The Eurlet Chariot industry is run by a completely different race. The chariots run in a wide variety of models. Off-road, on-road, sport/luxury. Above we see a standard on-road chariot on a really crappy road that runs through really crappy hills under a really crappy sky. Female
Male

Good job again on last weeks contests. Thank you all for your submissions, most of them were very good. I am sorry that I was unable to post a contest for last week, but we'll just pretend that never happened and call this week 3. Some of you may remember that when the contest board was being discussed I offered an idea about lawn gnomes. When the contest board was acutally established, I used a different idea, but I personally would like to see the results of that lawn gnome contest. So he...

Wow! I was overwhelmed and impressed with all the great submissions. Only one entry can win (and its pretty subjective), but they all were very good and I was impressed with almost all of them. Hopefully everyone who entered had fun creating their creatures, and thank you so much for entering. Every week there will be a new contest to enter, so if one doesnt pique your interest, maybe the next one will. Week 2: Chemistry You knew that you weren't supposed to go there, but Julie a...

well..i had no idea what to draw,,,wasnt really gonna do anything for contest but..i felt like drawing something silly :)the trumpet nosed brollyboogle..disguises itself from other creatures (and plants) by trying to look like a flowering plant...its feet are light and large..cup shaped so to avoid triggering any mines.. the "brolly" on its head helps keep the animal dry..also helps against falling coconuts...it mostly eats plants (tho it will be quite happy to eat anything else it comes across too)
PolythenePam (Sep 4, 2005)
It looks a lot like something that belongs in Yellow Submarine, doesn't it?
Rosemary (Sep 5, 2005)

The photo of my nightmare was revealed, but then I realize that after knowing him [ and waking up ], he wasn't a nightmare anymore, was a dream.[ When I have a good dream, I wake up sad, because he´s over, but when I have a nightmare, I became happy to awake. ]

GOODBYE
(Sep 4, 2005)
It was sort of like a "the sims" scenerio. The cursor is there because thought it would explain the dream better. I think I was having a flashback of when I was riding the carousel at bush gardens when i was 7 or 8. Anyways, I picked up and tossed over the edge and I tried screaming but nothing would come out, which was the worse part, the light was fading and it was so dark.I wish all my dreams weren't black and white. I didn't purposely make the carousel so scary though :D I like that it's not too realistic.
lycene (Sep 4, 2005)
Very cool. I really like the black and white. The carousel looks like an ink illustration out of a book.
Gemmy619 (Sep 4, 2005)
i like this, i think the carousel looks great and i like how u drew in black and white cos its very rare that dreams are in colour, or so i read... :)
brenndurdrykkur (Sep 4, 2005)
awesooome. the shadows were a very good choice
