This is a safety save. Lalique is my fursona and in this picture, I wanted to try adding a longer snout and make her a bit bigger. I'm adding her long mane in later but for now, I think she looks pretty good. Darn these impossibly small canvases. |

I play viola (and saxophone) and the viola, looking mych like the violin has that rolling thing on the end and my viola is called Rollus because of that roll! Nice peice of art, I love the colours.

I was not going to comment on this... But, the more I look at this, the more I like it. I see a Shopping cart wheel, a Black hole Sun, a Caramel whipping machine, That violin head Rollus or whatever, One of those twist design loli pops... Just like Davinci said. |

It's not that bad. :) I like your coloring, but your lineart needs to be cleaned up. I can't really give advice on lines, but if you ask somebody else they might be able to help you.

For lineart on Oekaki I like to use the airbrush, med thick lines, then coming back with the soft erasure on med flow and shaving the lines down, takes longer but the lines are clean and smooth, plus you get a difference in thickness. Some people like to use the watercolor tool. If I attempt (and that's a challenge for me) solid shading I'll use the pen with the size at 2. Any thicker and it would be, well too thick :D Maybe size 1 for more detail but the only time I use the pencil is to sketch. Pencil just makes too ragged lines. Hope that helps Elfen. Experiment to find what works best for you.This piece is nice, but there's just too much white. If you put in the rest of her body and do a different color bg it would look more finished.

Edging away from the realism, some cartoons! This looks very unrealistic and it's supposed to. Finally worked out the lighting. Trying to make it look cute, hopefully it worked!

May I suggest, the upper body looks fine, but her lower body is just too small. Especially her haunches (lower legs, butt) If you use the move tool (making sure flow and opacity are all the way up and anti-alias is unchecked or else you'll get a shadow effect) and move her up a bit and to the left you can make her lower body bigger. She's pretty, but right now she looks distorted. And for the halo, take advantage of the circle tool, you'll get a nice smooth round curve.
