Strange how ideas can change... The original beastie here was more of a draconian seahorse, but I decided to change one bit... then another... and so on until I ended up with this thing. I've got a water one already, though, so it's all good.

Thanks everyone :) No, davincipoppalag. I was on here before, perhaps a year or two ago, but then my tablet broke and I refuse to draw with a mouse... they turn out wretched. I've actually been fiddling around recently to settle into a digital style I like, but I've been studying Neondragon's work for a while. Perhaps I simply remind you of her amazing work.

Your Demon Dog Is Waiting

Aaaand more random stuff. This was originally going to be a dragon. Well, it ain't much of one now. I'd have to call it a demon dog, even though the tail's draconian, the head is rather prehistoric, and each foot has only two toes. Maybe it's a mutant demon dog. Either way, its element is fire and yes, it has a pink back.

What's this? Blue and gold and red and gray, multicoloured eyes and no background, you say? Eh, painkillers have odd effects on the muse. Now, I know the anatomy's rather off on this one, and I'm still playing around with this type of shading - too much practice with fully grayscale, realistically-shaded pencil sketches - but still: any hints, tips, comments, or musings?

How can you tell if the anatomy is off on an imaginary creature, lol. I think it's colorful and cleanly drawn.

Thanks :) The head just seems a little too big and the limbs a touch twisted. According to others (and occasionally myself) I am usually overly literally minded for a fantasy fanatic but always a perfectionist... Well, this time I was too lazy to be a perfectionist. And my jaw hurt. -dental surgery last week- On to more, hopefully better built beasties of my imagination!
