These drawings you've been making would look a lot cooler if you didnt make the lines sketchy. Try making the sketchy-ness on a bottem later, then on a top layer just make one line, I'd look better if you ask me.

i disagree with you, kazukie. i think the sketchy is fine. Lineart is too bland and un-interesting for these kind of odd pictures. If he used smooth lines, the picture would look totally off. I do think you could try to be a little less sparatic, however, Zappo. I like the sketchy, but it might look even better if you erased a few of the lines that aren't filled in with color.

I also like redheads... I like the real life redheads, with 'real' red hair, not the hair that's dyed bright, fake red... anyway, she is missing a mouth. also, if you want to make the hair seem more real, you should make sure that where the ear sticks out, you use some darker red tones or some darker skin tones to make it apparent that she isn't just wearing a helment with ears...

that's not how you benefit from constructive criticism. I don't see how it's my problem... If i don't like a picture that a kid on an internet forum draws, my day isn't exactly ruined. Please explain to me what you think a mouth is, and how whether she has bangs has anything to do with her mouth or not. shouting doesn't become you... and the horrific lack of punctuation doesn't help anyone's case. EDIT: please don't delete your post like that. all it does is make me look like a fool for talking to myself. anyway, thank you for apologizing.

people are looking at this like.. What the hell is that blue thing behind her?! and its water. the rest of this piccy had the rest of the Love Hina ladies in it and they were all in a lake swimming. Kaolla was on this floating bug lookin' thing so, the was riding it and it made the water splash. I just can't draw water... ^.^

You may think she "Looks" sad / upset 'cause of the little marking under her eye and on her cheek, but if you take a much closer look at the pic you can see that the is a marking made to look like the tears have stained in her very flesh. Just so you know, Bye. '.^

Alright, i'm likeing how this is progressing. I'll try to find the reference pic so I can finish it later.
EDIT: uh.. for some reason nothing happened when i tried to make any paint command. nothing froze -- i could still add layers/visibility/select tools but nothing came out of the tools... I didn't do a whole lot, but i certainly haven't reached the size limit.
EDIT: ok... it's done, or at least as far as I care to make it done. this is not original in any way. it's a less impressive version of a painting i saw on a spammy photography website.

I wasn't in your ear! I was also doing a picture: the Light House piece that took me almost three hours to submit when I only spent about 20 mins of work on it. NOW who's in who's ear? what? i couldn't hear you -- you were blocking my ear canal! ;P

whoa... It really didn't take that long. I was doing a lot of stuff.
This pic, is basically a story i was writing about a fire fairy *however you spell it* and this is her waking up in the morning. her name is aidan. which means one of fire. :) c and c plz!

Beautiful... wonderful colors, also. this sin't a slur on your ability, but i AM getting a little tired of fairies and whatnot. at least you did it well :)
EDIT: well, as for suggestions: the girl's right arm seems a little short. you could either lengthen it a tad OR make the wrist and hand slightly smaller so it looks like her arm is stretching away from the 'camera'. the rocks could be cleaned up a little, and since the sky is so red, it wouldn't hurt to add a little glow to the rocks and the clouds. the clouds could use a little touching up around the edges... the smudging looks nice, but I think you could make the clouds look even nicer if you used a very transparent brush and went over the edges of the clouds. the sky... looks great. it doesn't look natural with those smudge effects, but i like it like that...

thank you. this was my first fairy. i know they are popping up everywhere, but i had the urge to add something there, figured it was all i could add at the moment.. any suggestions???
edit: sweet! thanks for the tips. i'll fix it up when i dont work. her left arm *the arm on our right* is like behind her head, like stretching. kinda like scratching her head? lol. but thank you!! *hugs*

"based" off of or copied? anyway, it's pretty coool. With paint bbs, you have to be careful of the watercolor brush whenever you're not doing something soft. The wood areas in this look more like someone smeared grease on it's surface.

Alright someone finally used that! I tell that to all the new people who stumblw on to chat their first day......and as for paint.....its not for me....my style isnt smooth and i like to use too many layers and colors......me and oekaki were made for eachother...were both unpredictable and no one can rely on either of us....
