i've had the oompa loompa song stuck in my head all day so my pictures are somewhat reflecting what's going on in my brain.... actually i didn't even start this picture out to be anyone or anything but then my cousin was like "that looks like willy wonka, kinda" ...... unintentional, plus, who hasn't been to a carnival and the tickets they gave out were yellow/golden??? so this could be a carnival person.... too... i guess..... but ah well, it's whoever you wish it to be ^_^ and thanxs to those who've commented already, hope you like the end result!!!

yes actually, this is wonderful. It get's me in the mood of the new Willy Wonka movie, although it's a rather childish movie....anyway, great picture, sorry you didn't get many comments, this is good though......<:D

Rules for drawing in the intermediate level clearly state:

The main intermediate board intended for users who have mastered the basic skills of drawing and are somewhat familiar with the drawing applets.

Users should expect to spend at least half an hour on each entry on this board.

/end intermediate rules.

crowquill: I would suggest you spend more time on the detail in this piece. I watched the animation and it appears as if you are using a large brush. This is fine for blocking in color, however for more detail a smaller (much smaller) bush is needed. For example, you could add detail to the face (eye, ear & nose), add more purple mane hairs, add more orange detail (such as grass strokes). I would also smooth out the sky color so that starts out dark at the top and becomes lighter as you get to the center of the screen.

I like your choices of colors, they go very well together. Hope you don�t mind my suggestions�I just want to help : ]

I would like to commend you on your effort put through this long process. At least you decided to put quality first rather than quantity and ignoring the 10 hours that state for the duration time. Or was it really 10 hours or a bit off? Seeing the number of revisions you've done, it is obvious that you were persistent in making the lines as crisp and arranged properly just as you've observed on the original picture (or I suppose the reference). A background would be nice too but I suppose making a duplicate of the original is satisfying enough then there is no need to make any more hassle with it. Not really what I call exceptional but acceptable enough for this board, if I say so myself.
