Because most don't know real art or think its not mainstream so its not good. I have the same problem. Anyway, I like this piece very much. And I believe the word your looking for is Half-Tone. Nice use of half-tones and very good composition.

Wow, this is so atmospheric. It also reminds me of that bit in 'Life of Pi', but there are some nefarious connotations that you wouldn't want. Love the window, my favourite bit. :)

Well, it'd be an interesting place to live, you would have to worry about termites though, and woodwroms, and woodrot, and sharing your abode with critters.....But it's a neat concept. ;)

I know this needs work. I should have done it in beginners I think but I do like it. I liked how the eyes turned out and some of the striping. I did like the glow effect I got on the thing she is holding. :) Think I may have made her face too 'busy" though.

It's funny when the 1st movie came out I was in my mid 20's and I went with my brothers, there were kids everywhere and as we were waiting for the movie to start I sang the Theme song. Yes I knew every word, every turtle, and my brothers were cracking up, then we looked at the seats in front of us and these two kids were listening and were shocked that this woman knew the lyrics and started laughing and asked me to sing them again.Just brought up memories, thanks artguy.
