He's a son of a bitch through and through, I've had enough with this picture. But I learned what not to do. X) What was that one scene? That's how I feel right now.......

"I'm singing in the rain..." *boof* "Just singing in the rain" *bam* "What a glorious feeling I'm...." *oof* "Happy again....."
Miharashi (Jan 7, 2007)
daaaaang thats nice-looks just like him. I love the pic, but the movie was *** up. I mean CMON! who wants to see couple of guys rape someones wife??? digressing.... once again, thats an awesome pic!
Sweetcell (Jan 7, 2007)
Well thanks everyone. Klox that's what I did after your advice and saw that the eyes were off, and he looks mighty chubby but I'll definately use your advice in the future. Cindy you know what a coward I am using highlights and shadows, but I keep trying because you push me to try. Must not be a fraidy cat, must not be a fraidy cat. Always learning, never knowing everything. :)

Everyone has one. You have one too. The little voice in your head that criticizes every brush stroke you make unless it's absolutely perfect by insane standards. Then afterwards, the voice that finds every single
flaw and irregularity in your completed work, and throws it in your face. A lot of this guy's dialogue is actually stuff that my inner art critic said to me while i was drawing this...

Yeah..I'm not really comfortable with posting my cartoon characters here, since they're pretty simple in design, and everything on this site is so impressive in compare. But after some urging (and I'm sure they regret it now), I figured why the hell not. I wanted to do this for a while, anyway. This guy's Botj. He's a two foot tall nut demon. Despite the text, I really do like this entry. I just hope it doesnt get deleted off of intermediate for being too simple. I hope there's not a rule against profuse text.

My inner critic ALWAYS tells me I can do better, but thats good I reckon, because if it didn't I ( and other artists too) wouldn't get better. Basically you know that it's there inside you- it's just how to get it to come out. And one day something incredible happens and you are happy with what you have done, but not always. I love this because it's so true- it is what people feel. I salute you!
davincipoppalag (Jan 6, 2007)
My inner critic knows nothing about art either so I don't listen. I just draw and post. You should too
Kayos (Jan 10, 2007)
my wierd though on your inner art critic, is that when you fail to see whats wrong with your own art, is when you have stopped improving. I go through all sorts of random psycotic thoughts when i draw. This pick made me thing, and i luaghed when i read this becuse its so true to me as well. and dont be afraid and overwelmed by other peoples suff on here. there are some incredible artist on here, and its intimitating. Just post and have fun! :)

Haven't commented your art in a while. I really love the blues you used. Gives it a magical feeling.
And just for the record, I absolutely love those wings.

Was he a pointillist? (or however that's spelled) this is very pretty so far
Ruggi (Jan 6, 2007)
Thanx! Yeah, he seems to like those dots. You can find this one ("La Louvre et le Pont du Carrousel - Effet de Nuit") and some others on http://impressionism-art.org/cat20.htm?sessionid=ea8f8943d1af25a348d2be5c9a05b776
The one online looks a lot more yelloy than the postcard I used though!
Alter.Native (Jan 6, 2007)
Very atmospheric.
Ruggi (Jan 6, 2007)
Can't revise it anymore... out of space already. I guess the combination of points and brush uses up too many kb's. Wonder if those old pointillists ever ran out of space too...?

SHE'S A DUDE
WE'RE ALL DUDES

abendstern, same as before, only not as good.
shading fur is hard when you get lazy.

Maybe this belongs on beginner, but I can't post it there now. I'll leave it to the mods to decide.

What is it? A deerwolf? Looks very anime. You can go back later and revise it if you want, add more texture and shading. It looks well proportioned and everything, you obviously put some effort into this.
Shiek (Jan 5, 2007)
Kamll: He's a hellhound. Normally hellhounds have ram horns, but he has antlers. I guess the addition of antlers to anything makes it kinda anime, haha. Thanks Miyazaki.

An idea I've had bouncing around my head for a few months. Originally, I had planned it as a bat and a giant flea in a bar, but a mosquito and flea holding hands (legs? Hooked claws?) works much better to me. It's all fixed now, and I really like how it turned out.

I think the flea would have to be male, since it's only the female mosquitos who drink blood. But I'm not really sure. I know I drew it, but I have no idea in hell lol. Thanks for all the kind words :)

Ok... at first I didn't knew how to do carnations, then I remebered there is someone in this oekaki that is a master of them. So, I studied Deadly Blond Arcer's gallery. If I admired you before, now I most make you an altar Cindy (May I call you with your real name?)... the patience you most have to obtain such wonderful results, and your incredible talent!

After that line, you can call me whatever you want, whenever you want. ;) Yeah, sure... if you're gonna worship me you'll have to get in line, darlin'... take a number and go wayyyy back there. :)

(haha... I am SO being sarcastic... just in case someone took that seriously) I am very, very flattered, I don't deserve that much admiration. You're a very talented artist and you are sweet. :)
davincipoppalag (Jan 5, 2007)
This is gonna be the best lookin carnation I ever saw! Now there's gonna be no livin with blondie.. jeez.. (hhehehe))
jooniper (Jan 9, 2007)

Well this is inspiring.. I guess dan's cool little pots are good for that too.. Top and/or left side looks thinner than the right, I'm not sure if thinner is the right word.. the angle of the left side looks steeper than the right. It's good to look at anyway.
fleeting_memory (Jan 6, 2007)
how very axil of you ;)
