thank you songie, bren.. I didn't really mean for it to be emotional, but I feel like that practically all the time, so you're prob'ly right Dave

Brought my wacom to work. Extremely bored with no customers. This one was fun to do. Use my own face for reference. I'm used to doing hair in photoshop so this was a real test. Don't know how I feel about the hair. Oh well...

I'll finish it later. I like drawing skulls. It's fun and a good time killer.

When I was very small a painting was given to us by my grandmother; her father had painted it. It was a brilliant reproduction of a photo (NOT this one) of an Indian girl, probably from a magazine, according to her. Looking at it I had always hoped to make something half as brilliant. Here is a copy of the famous "Afghan girl" photo from National Geographic. It's probably my favorite photograph ever, and I'm sure many people feel the same way.
I hope someday, also, to make a better version, or to reproduce another photo with greater skill than is shown here.

Yea..that is such a striking photo...very ambitious. I think you're on the right track..

OH! I have that National Geographics series. Quite well depicted though at first glance I thought it looked like a sad Mother Teresa. Pretty pic. Very striking green eyes!

Nice job, you got the colors good.

I wanted to do something sketchy, and I'm fairly pleased with the results.

This is cool so far; it sort of reminds me of an angelic kind of gargoyle.

ladyblader - yah, kinda... I have her with the lightest, most normally looking skin color... XD and no face markings because I'm boring.

Altard (Apr 16, 2007)
Gosh, it's so pretty, like a picture. I like how there's a road heading straight into it; gives it an eerie sort of feeling, like, "Should I go there...?"

Has the weather been too bright for you these last days? Have no fear, gloomy days are near. :D
Love the piece!
