Just had an idea to water color over pencil sketch....it didn't turn out the way I wanted it to. But it was fun to do. If its not good enough for this level, please move it to beginner.

I think it translates as "Better Living" based on a German song from ages ago.

Translation of some of the lines:

i'm not totally into anime but i've been watching this one called full metal alchemist and it's pretty fun. i really liked this one character then they killed him off. this is maes hughes.

Agree about the depth, set's him off. I know about FMA, just never saw it. I think you captured the essense of anime, if that makes sense.

right now, those eyes are more tell tale egyptian, work on the shape and size a bit.
they tend to be heavier on top, and almond shaped. the right one is more japanese.
