i didnt say it was bad to use references and how is not useful to draw without references . well anyway i just would like to see her draw some pics without usign any references.

I was just about to say the same thing. I ussually don't use reference pics either. I was saying they are good to do sometimes. I only really use them to practice up on my styles.

oo the colors are so perty, its a very interesting style. it kinda reminds me of african art i say some where...like a mask or something! Id like to see more art like this!

There's a little bit of halo between the lineart and the background, most evident around her jaw and left arm. Also, the dark side of the cavern seems a bit haphazard. The combination of styles looks great though, just like a still from an actual animated film. This is excellent even without the consideration that it's your first major attempt at lineart.

lol @ sincity... that song... barf! This is so cool, it reminds me of a children's book illustrator's style, but I can't think of who it is. Don't worry, I will not eat the people. Just the small animals that sincity beats to death. ;)

My first submission to this place... and it needs more work.

I was trying to keep the water colour feel, but I've now got bored. Might come back and finish it a little later. The times also a little off, had other things to do while drawing. I'd say 40-50 mins would be more accurate.

*Submitted finished as I'm never going to work on this again, and I need to clear my studio*

i've dealt with it many times already this year, and the past years....its kinda normal now.. you wouldn't believe how many we have (not including the new arrivals).

wasn't sure on what to put in the background...either zombies or a gravestone....zombies won, didn't want a complicated background as it would over power the hand...so slightly advanced stick figures were drawn.

awww thanks davinci...yep i did, i did a BA in lens and digital media (photography, film, animation, webdesign, etc).
