Axil62 (Apr 27, 2006)
Hey now, all you sinners
Put your lights on, put your lights on
Hey now, all you lovers
Put your lights on, put your lights on

Hey now, all you killers
Put your lights on, put your lights on
Hey now, all you children
Leave your lights on, you better leave your lights on

Cause there's a monster living under my bed
Whispering in my ear
There's an angel, with a hand on my head
She say I've got nothing to fear

There's a darkness living deep in my soul
I still got a purpose to serve
So let your light shine, deep into my home
God, don't let me lose my nerve
Lose my nerve

Hey now, hey now, hey now, hey now
Wo oh hey now, hey now, hey now, hey now

Hey now, all you sinners
Put your lights on, put your lights on
Hey now, all you children
Leave your lights on, you better leave your lights on

Because there's a monster living under my bed
Whispering in my ear
There's an angel, with a hand on my head
She say's I've got nothing to fear
La illaha illa Allah
We all shine like stars
La illaha illa Allah
We all shine like stars
Then we fade away

That's wild. Reminds me of a scene from Donnie Darko but different. ;)
Childlike_Vampire (Apr 27, 2006)
Pictures like this with descriptions like that and reactions like above are why I'm such a fan of yours Axil. Just in case you was wonderin'. It really looks like the darkness threatens to encase him.
Sweetcell (Apr 27, 2006)
I thought it was Curt Kobain. Great agony.

Just some quick practice sketches to warm up.

Used a reference of a tortoise for this one: http://www.backfromthebrink.org/speciesimages/13/1_gopher_tortoise.jpg.

Tried to emulate my pencil technique with the tablet, but it takes longer and doesn't look nearly as good.

Nice loose reference work. I like your hatching; it makes for a very illustrative style. I think it'd be cool if you made some of these pictures like they were pages from some fantasy logbook.
Deino (Apr 16, 2006)
I absolutely love it! Reminds me of the Mock Turtle, from Alice in Wonderland.
method3 (Apr 28, 2006)
Reminds me of the guy who did the concept stuff for the Stargate movie, he did alot of animal heads. This sketch is particularly clean!
Maiko (Apr 28, 2006)

Hey there my peeps...grrrrr... this pic was making me mad because the freakin things kept glitching and being weird whenever I would switch layers or something. Luckily this picture turned out good. In the begining stages it was looking kind of "gay".... but now it's kinda "metro"... cool huh? Coments and critiques welcome. Peace out.

I like the style of this a lot... and their super-tight-I-can't-breathe-jeans! Yay!
dietsoda (Mar 26, 2006)
Thanx for the comments. :) I totally suck at clothing... either painted on tight or fall off your ass baggy. LoL! Hmmm... maybe I should make a "Project Runway" peice... or not. That is my favorite show besides "The Ultimate fighter". Gosh... I ramble a lot, I'ma quit typing. Bye bye.

I actually intended to have the male character pictued here, Klipp, as he is now, old and reflective, but alas, I have reached my limit. This also included some slight background work, but alas, che sera sera, I'm overall very pleased with it. Comments/critiques are more than welcome.

The song quoted is by Butterfly Messiah, and is called Believe.

Anora, the female here is intellectual property of Mariko Jade Dow.

Such a happy looking picture! I like the addition of stray hairs to what you had previously. I dunno, I personally think the hat looks a lil fuzzy at least. I agree with Miss DJ though, very cute :).

...newspaper blown through the grass falls on the round toes of the high shoes of the old friends
old friends, winter companions, the old men
lost in their overcoats, waiting for the sunset
sounds of the citiy sifting through trees settle like dust on the shoulders of the old friends...
