Hahahahaha! Yah this pic drove me crazy(er).I couldn't decide on a coloring style so I recolored some areas over, and over, and over........ugh.... And I still don't like the brown boy's hair (they're both boys so yah its a yaoi pic). I think I choose too light of hightlights for him.....all well I'm at the faze where I don't give a crap. I originally planned having them laying on grass but when I draw grass I often do too much detail and then the picture strays from the main subject. Plus I would had to outline their shadows and with their crazy hair going in all directions I just wasn't up to it......so I thought "what is easy to make and easy to put shadows in? AH HA clouds! They can be floating on clouds as in a dream! Thats original right?" So then I just went nuts with the watercolor tool and ta-dah. Oh and ignore the time, this was just an off and on project.

Er, yaoi is a bit out of context here. Basically, it means guys fucking in anime terms. Shounen-ai is more of the term for an obvious attraction or connection, but no sexual contact.But anyway, onto the picture. >w< I don't see how you hate the shading on the left boy's hair. I LOVE IT. o__o; Well, I love the shading in general, but yeah. I'm always drawn to the eyes. ^^

okay thanks for the clarification......I knew both terms had a difference at some level, just didn't know what. I figured that knowing that they both are both under boyxboy menu was good enough. It's no so much the shading, it's the highlights, they just seem too bright for his color hair. Or maybe theres too much red in them....whatever.....>.<

I would like help with some cast drawing practice i'm doing right now, please.I worked this one for a bit, spent most of the time on the eyes, redoing them over and over. I still feel like somethings are off but i can't see the flaws. Here's the ref. Critique would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
