if you thin the brush down to 1xwhatever number, then rotate it round you can see on the monitor it will split into 3 or 4 lines, draw with that and you get the multi line effect....

It's a caligraphy effect with the pen Hide. At a certain angle you get multiple lines, as Chris shows here. Fascinating stuff. Doesn't work as well with the airbrush though. You should try with the square brush next time Chris.

Here's a bizarre coincidence... I was watching that HBO series, Carnivale on dvd. I decided to get up and get something to drink, and paused it. I didnt look where it ended up pausing. When I came back to it, this is what was on my screen...

I have been friends with xiau since i came to the site. We have alot in common, and ironicly, we were both inspired by the same "how to draw rainforest animals" book when we were kids.
