This is where I view an "abstract type" painting, and I know that it works perfectly. I never know for sure how, or why, and I certainly can't do it myself, but you really "pulled it off" right in this one. It has no beginning or ending and it flows outward. It reminds me of the Navajo lightning pattern in weaving... there's always an "escape route" in the pattern... it is open. This does that.

You talk good DBA, your talking is nice.

I hardly know what to say Juno, though I'd like to know how much you would charge to do large scale mural.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (May 13, 2007)
Why, thank you, and if you'd like to call my 1-800 number, the first three minutes are FREE!!!!
must be 18 years or older to call, $21.95 plus applicable taxes apply after the first three minutes, on and on with the little fine print blah blah ahahhhhh ;)
davincipoppalag (May 13, 2007)
I know nothing..but that I like what you did here, and I can't afford to call Cindy...the taxes would kill me

Lol, this is funny, looks like something coming on tv in via a very wonky satelite connection.
Aubrey (May 13, 2007)
From the looks of it, the world needs more shrooms, cause that's purdy.

This is fine for begginers but you need to work a bit more before you post on Intermediate.

that girl is scary.
...on another note, I seem to be obsessed by the sharp tool. Ah well. at least it works well with this piece.

She is. But she's pushing 13. XD
13's a little farther off from me.

Btw, Star, Who is this? It looks like Alexi with Tien markings...?
starflame (May 13, 2007)
uh dude, this IS Tien.
Celestial-Fox (May 13, 2007)
She looks kind of masculine.
starflame (May 13, 2007)

Well, I haven't been modivated to draw much of anything since I found out I am not accepted into the Fine Arts programme at the university I am going to next year... but I decided that I might as well just suck it up and keep drawing. It's their loss, not mine. I can always try again next year I guess.

You did awesome shading on this only the eye placement upsets me, I think it should be a tad lower.
PS (May 13, 2007)
I agree, the shading is really good, nice details as well.

Well, put him in a plastic bag with gravel in it, tie a knot in it, and fill up the bathtub... what are you WAITING for? lol. I have had three cats in my lifetime that I loved (well, I should say "tolerated") I only didn't shoot one of them, but that was because he crawled up under the engine of my car, and the next morning when I started it up for shcool... REEEEEYOOOOOOW. ewww. I was late for school. :)

All kidding aside (even though I wasn't really kidding) or was I?:D... I love the perspective and the angle you've chosen to depict this from.
Miss_DJ (May 6, 2007)
really nice drawing and perspective! It's so appealing in b/w.
Aubrey (May 12, 2007)
That cat has a lot of personality beaming from its eyes.
Celestial-Fox (May 13, 2007)
The perspective looks really nice. The markings on the face are awesome and the contrast is great.

I know the statue's pose is different, hence the glamour shot thing. Thats right, it just sprang to life and made a pose.

your work keeps improving. think about a background next time, and watch the antialiasing on ovals.

Blah. I started it earlier tonight. I'm surprised at how much Lascaux resembles Photoshop's brush features. Just a crappy sketch of my character, Rinji, with green eyes. Big nose! =3

I'm curious as to see what else you can do, especially if you share the impulse to draw out people that exist in your mind and all.
JK-Arts (May 13, 2007)
I read green yet i see brown. I'm so confused.
Celestial-Fox (May 13, 2007)
In the first version, before I edited, she had green eyes. If you look on the "Versions" panel next to the applet and click v.1, she'll have green eyes.
