This is great, you're obviously skilled at what you do.
I love how simple yet detailed it is, if you know what i mean. And I also think it should 've gotten more comments.
Punky (Jul 11, 2007)
This is so adorable, I love the colours and textures.
I love it and I really hope this Jodie person loves it too. :)

You've kept me in suspense long enough!
Oh my god, that's adorable!! I love the colours, the textures, the dino's black eye!!
This is the best birthday present I've gotten so far, thank you!! (And p.s., nice cartoon hand)
And by the way, this would make an awesome birthday card, you should submit it to Hallmark. You'd make millions.
Sweetcell (Jul 11, 2007)
Why aren't there more comments? I mean this is awesome stuff. How did you get those blocks of colors? I envy people who can do such good solid shading. Poor T-Rex, but good job on the shiner. And he looks so proud walking on his head proudly displaying.... what? This is just cute and awesome in one.

Oh, and Happy Birthday Callypso. There are a lot of July birthdays around here.

I see an amalgamation of Jake and a young (Mad Max) Gibson. Jeeeyah, what an expression. :)

It looks like a very young Mel Gibson to me. Regardless who it might be, it is very well done. I'm finding myself being very attracted to your art, in general.

Ok, so first off, I'm kind of a noob at digital drawing... I probably could've fixed it up more so that the lines weren't as thick but with the program I chose this is as thin as I could get the lines. Oh welll
Anyway this is a character from a play a friend of mine has written and he's commissioned me to draw the characters for posters. Its kinda anime-ish, and the proportions are kinda off and all, but this is just a practice thing so whateverrrr.

I think that, for being a noob at digital drawing, this is fantastic! The fact that you care/notice about the lines is even more excellent. I like this a lot, her pose and the shading on her hair, and great use of the gradient tool for a bg. :)

Howdy Christine, it's been a while, how's life? Cool web page, even if AOL is an absolute evil. :P

Nice portrait, you should draw here more often.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (edited Jul 9, 2007)
Nice to see you here again, people seem to come and go, but mostly... they go... :(. I was browsing your work from the link you provided... Is there a way to view the paintings enlarged? I tried to find a way, but couldn't seem to be able to view any of them larger.

I am terribly in love with "Breakfast" :) It is simply beautiful in such an honest, innocent way. You have such a down to earth style, I love it. I'll have to keep up with your "comings and goings" now. :D
cmb (Jul 10, 2007)
Lol all- I have a Myspace account, I have some pictures posted there, my main problem is I dont have a decent camera and the breakfast painting photo was taken some years ago- it was a commissioned piece and the owner has moved away, but I always loved it. im trying some new stuff at the moment- combining digital drawings with acrylic paintings- some look better than others- once the exhibition is up I promise to try and draw more here! regards

Amazing work giselle!

Interesting style, pretty loose and colorful. The video was pretty minimalistic, it fit the song.

you are,
all fire, glory and wind - and sunlight
through closed eyes on a spring day.
as I lay on my back,
grass smooth and sharp beneath my hands,
feeling, experiencing, being.
I know you
through the warmth of this day.
through my eyelids, on my cheek,
in the laughter of children that floats down from the docks,
rhythmic pulses of the waves against aging wood -
inhale the scent of green, the newly cut lawn.
I know you through these things.

...the breathy wind rifles through my shirt.

[for my boyfriend.]
c&c not desired, just tell me what this makes you think, please.

Sweetcell (Jul 4, 2007)
Ooo, swirly and beautiful (I wish people stopped bringing up Nightmare Before Xmas, that is not what I thought when I first saw this, but now I'm going to think it) Well, pretty Clover.
enjoydotcom (Jul 5, 2007)
It looks like something somebody with skill (not me) could do with paint on a canvas. And I sure hang it on a wall.
gizemko3 (Jul 10, 2007)
i like poetry in general, too bad English isn't my mother tongue and so i can't really feel it. well, i do understand the words and all (and if not, there's always a dictionary near me), but i seem not to be able to ever catch 'it'... i guess i will stick to admiring the painting then. and that's a beautiful one

I dunno, I was trying to do a Munch kind of painting and this came out. If ANYONE can think of something better to do color and style wise I am up to suggestions.
NOTE: I do like the girl and the outfit though. Bout the only thing I do like.

But don't you think the bg could be better? Seriously I'm not in love with it. Anyone with any suggestions please don't hesitate to offer them. (specially that green pickle-thingy. don't know what I was thinking)
TammyF (Jul 7, 2007)
This is really cool! Love the sweeping flow of the girl and her expression!!! I'm not sure how it would look, but you could try bringing thin green sweeping lines from the top of the green pickle-thingy up to meet the thin green lines by the shoulder and maybe pull some of the orange-brown color from that area down into the green a little and then maybe break the solid of the blue a little. Not sure how though? Munch's backrounds seem to have alot going on in them and didn't have alot of solid areas If it doesn't work I'd leave it the way it is. Definitely has a modern day Munch feel to it :~)
ilovedrawing (Jul 8, 2007)
Thankyou for the advice, and I don't take advice negitivley like some people. I like this drawing but were is her other arm? :)
gizemko3 (Jul 10, 2007)
hmm, compared to the bg the lower part of her dress looks a bit plain. maybe putting more of the little decoration there would help? (some pattern perhaps)
