Now it's smooth and exuberant, and still happy! Not "another sunny day" today, It rained a little bit, but I'm just thankful it wasn't a lot. Somebody needs to close the sky and pull the plug on the lake here... * glub, glub* :)

I love this painting.
psychofox0 (Jul 8, 2007)
this is really good. Her smile kinda scares me, but I like the expression.
fleeting_memory (Jul 9, 2007)
I love the granulated feeling of the shading. Awesome.
Morggey (Jul 9, 2007)
Ah... I was hoping to see this finished! Both your revisions already captured the emotion so well. I love how you left the shading grainy, like an old photograph. It looks great! There are a couple of spots that seem rougher than the rest around the bottom and edges of her nose. Other than that, it's a very lovely picture. Kudos. =)

I'll have to finish this later, sorry. >___<;;

'cause I couldn't get the arm to look right, so yeah.
rawr.
Gotta go. DX

This sketch is looking pretty good so far. :)
fleeting_memory (Jul 9, 2007)
We all struggle with forward motion-cause forward motion is harder than it sounds, every time I get some ground I've gotta turn myself around again.

Wait a minute, you said:

if I want to practice I will do it on the beginner boards,

But before you wrote:

But I'm still going to practice in Intermediate even if some people think I'm not fit for it yet. Thank you.

Yeah, Poly's right, missing the point en-tirely. And a little contradictin' too.
Maiko (Jul 8, 2007)
Looks like we got a drama llama. B:

Anyway, we're not trying to be mean, but if you take a look at the intermediate boards
we have people with crazy skill. Hell, even I'm scared of using the intermediate boards.

Also, please don't become extremely defense when recieving criticism :3 we're only trying to help you improve.
Anithene (Jul 8, 2007)
It's one in the morning. I'm tired, I'm cranky, and I really should stop replying here. But I am.

So what if I'm dramatic. I'm sorry if I'm not up to your people's standards. I'll try to imrpove but I will continue drawing on the intermediate boards.
Sweetcell (Jul 8, 2007)
And thus, there goes consideraton, right out the figgen window.
Do as you want anithene, but people will moderate.

Ref.
I still can't draw hands. Bah.

enjoydotcom (edited Jul 7, 2007)
If I hold my hand like that, my thumb goes past the indexfinger, and my hand actually looks kinda like that. But looking at the ref, her hand looks different.
As for me, I like the colors, only crit I have is that you didn't color up to the bottom.
Sweetcell (Jul 7, 2007)
Nice coloring, I like the combination, but yes the hand is off. Best way to get a good ref, if you have a camera hold your hand out in that position, take a picture, load it and use it. Usually when the hands holding something like that the index sticks out the most, then the others casually follow in a curl. The thumb should only come to the nuckles of the finger and the connection to the palm should be shorter. But still, good pic.
Punky (Jul 8, 2007)
This is nice, I like the simplicity, colour choices and the clean lines. :)
sweet_insanity (Jul 8, 2007)
lol, i have this faved on my devart and have used it for refs in like 3-4 painting.
i like this, especially the colors and how they work together.

Nice colors, I think it would look better without the scribbles in the background though.
pancakes_rock (Jul 8, 2007)
i really don't know how too do backgrounds so this was the only thing i could think of X_X thanks amyways :)
PS (Jul 8, 2007)
Just do a plain pink background (blend in a couple variations of it if you want). Sometimes simple is good.

Johnny is Franny's dead-zombie-mummy husband. He was shot with a bullet called a Deadpill--which kills the body but forces the soul to remain until he is completely decomposed. He's got special bandages on made by Fran's friend's grandma, which stops the decomposition.

I read a thread about how there building a giant partical accelerator in Switzerland. Some people are predicting blackholes and all sorts of armaggedon things. I wonder what it will look like when particles crash into each other at near light speed, with a microscopic camera.

Cool exploration of that idea kayos!
Sweetcell (Jul 7, 2007)
OOo, ooo, oooo.... this is such coolness.
The end of the world, yayyyy,
let's get nekkid.
Seriously lovely atom Kay.
Morggey (Jul 8, 2007)
Yeah, and my boyfriend's dad is gonna be doing some of those experiments! Heh.
Really cool... I love all the detail in the sparks and the contrast between the oranges and blues... Like fire, I guess, with black to make it mysterious. =) Love the circular shape of the canvas, too... Just like the circular particle collider! ;D
