umm... it's a doodle from last year and since my friend wanted me draw something with fire in it, i just thought of this doodle... and u get to see more of my crazy obsession with hair and lineart... but mostly hair this time ^^...wow... the sketch took an hour... O_O;; edit: WOAH... after 2 years of something of inactiveness on 2draw, I find this in showcase?? *is astounded* thank you everyone ^^

HAH! I was thinking of posting the link... and using those exact words... for the "reference police" LOL ... naw, I invited him over for barbque, and made him sit here for 6 hours while I drew him... here's the link...http://pro.corbis.com/search/searchFrame.asp and you have to enter ZUA693616 (copy and paste it) in the search box... I like the statues they build in graveyards. They often build some really nice ones. It is mostly the dead young people and the children who get the most beautiful statues on their tombstones. I once saw a strange looking angel holding a piece of broken glass. I have also heard that some thieves often steal these statues. I heard of a story of a little girl who was not older than 4 or 5 years old when she died and her parents hired a very skillful sculptor to create an extremely accurate and lifesize statue of their little girl with angel wings. And decades after her death, graverobbers stole the entire statue and the parents felt very sad. <:(|XOD|

This is so dramatic it left me in awe. I love how she drapes herself over the pedestal as if she is weeping and lost. You dig deep inside of yourself when you draw and you should continue to do that.

Victim of Love, I see a broken heart.... Someone said when you draw someone upside down, that your brain has to work on the opposite side than that of which it normally does, so I wanted to try it. (for me that would be the right side, since I'm left-handed) It just confirmed what I have always believed, that the left side of my brain is completely retarded. He didn't look anything like I intended, and I just couldn't get it right, so I had her smother him with a pillow and changed the name. lol (an idea that came to me anyway while I was talking to someone and drawing) ;)

looks good... however, the lips of the black-haired girl could use some adjustment.... they seem too rounded on the top, and therefore need some indentation to give them a better shape.... also, the right (viewer's left) cheekbone of the blonde vampire should be a tad bit fuller... it seems to be too thin to me...nice draw, dba! |
